Sofia Vergara is back on television screens as a judge on Season 21 of America’s Got Talent, and she’s had some exciting things happening in her life offscreen in the months since the 2025 season concluded.
In December, Vergara confirmed her relationship with Douglas Chabbott by posting a photo with him on Instagram that she captioned, “Te am.” However, the two had been linked for several months before the hard launch, with Vergara even sharing an Instagram Story photo of them at an Oasis concert in September. He was also at her birthday party in Italy in July.

Per the company’s website, “We focus on branding, developing special collections, and promotional items for holidays. Dasan works with leading national retailers, including department stores, mall jewelers, television shopping networks, and e-commerce sites.”

There is reportedly a nearly 14-year age difference between Vergara and Chabbott. She was born in 1972, while he is reported as being born in 1985.
How many times has Sofia Vergara been married?
Vergara has been married two times. Her first husband was high school sweetheart Joe Gonzalez, whom she wed in 1990 and divorced in 1993. She then got engaged to Nick Loeb in 2012 after two years of dating, but they called off the engagement in 2014.
Vergara married Joe Manganiello in 2015. They separated eight years later in July 2023, and their divorce was finalized in 2024. Vergara confirmed that the relationship ended because Manganiello, who is four years her junior, wanted kids.

“He wanted to have kids, and I didn’t want to be an old mom. I feel it’s not fair to the baby,” Vergara admitted. “I respect whoever does it, but that’s not for me anymore.” However, the actor noted that these claims were “not true” and said he and Vergara did try to have kids together when they first got married.
“[The divorce was] because two people grew apart and sometimes that happens,” Manganiello added. “To be painted as if I had some sort of midlife crisis and, after nine years, turned to somebody and gave them an ultimatum of, ‘Do this potentially unhealthy thing to your body, or else I’m gone?’ That’s never who I was.”
Following her split from Manganiello, Vergara dated an orthopedic surgeon, Justin Saliman, for about a year in 2023 and 2024.
Does Sofia Vergara have kids?
Yes, Vergara has a son named Manolo, who was born in 1991. She shares him with her first husband, Gonzalez, and was 19 when she gave birth.
The Modern Family star was previously embroiled in a years-long lawsuit with Loeb over the use of frozen embryos they made via in vitro fertilization (IVF) while they were together. In 2021, a judge ruled in Vergara’s favor that Loeb could not use the embryos “to create a child without the explicit written permission of the other person,” per People.
