‘The Bachelorette’s Kaitlyn Bristowe Admits She Had a Crush on Becca Tilley

Kaitlyn Bristowe revealed that her feelings toward friend Becca Tilley were potentially more than just platonic in a new interview with Shannon Beveridge on her Off The Vine podcast. The former Bachelorette has never shied away from talking about her feelings and made a surprising confession.
Fans have been invested in Bristowe and Tilley’s personal lives ever since they became beloved members of Bachelor Nation. Tilley is currently in a relationship with singer Hayley Kiyoko, and Bristowe has been open about her questioning whether she was asexual or not.
But now, Kaitlyn shared a whole new side to her feelings. “I definitely had a little crush on Becca,” Kaitlyn candidly stated about her fellow The Bachelor Season 19 contestant. Beveridge was quick to quip, “So cute.”
Yet, that wasn’t the end of the story. The founder of the wine and spirits brand Spade & Sparrows shared, “She [Becca] admitted to me that she did, too.”
This crush never resulted in anything more than just an added-on appreciation for each other. Bristowe went on to reveal something peculiar. “Before Becca came out, if you googled, ‘Becca Tilley gay,’ it would come up as me and her, and it would say, ‘Becca and Kaitlyn talk about being the first gay couple to come out of [The Bachelor].'”
In June 2023, Becca and her partner appeared on Off The Vine, and the former Bachelor runner-up confessed to having had a crush on the former Bachelorette lead in the past.
Tilley was one of the first people from Bachelor Nation to admit to being in a same-sex relationship. Having been together since 2018, Tilley and Kiyoko didn’t come out as a couple until 2022. The former Disney Channel star had previously already stated her attraction to women in the press.
In February, Kaitlyn opened up about feeling like she might be asexual after her breakup with Jason Tartick. “I was talking about on a podcast how I felt asexual at one point, and I was,” she explained to Brandi Cyrus. “I genuinely was worried about myself. I was like, ‘OK, I’ve got really wacky hormones, I’m not happy in my relationship, I’m on antidepressants.’”
She continued, “Perfect storm to have no sex drive, but what if I am asexual? Because I wasn’t interested in dating someone else, and then I was like, ‘Maybe I want to date a woman.’ I went through all these different thoughts.”
