Will ‘The Bachelor’ Return for Season 30? Latest Updates About the Show’s Future
Ever since March 2002, The Bachelor has been a staple of the reality TV dating genre. With plenty of Bachelor Nation icons coming out of the franchise, from original lead Alex Michel to the latest Grant Ellis, there have been plenty of handsome men to charm the rotating set of women who have inhabited the Bachelor Mansion.
Some leads came in looking like a soft boy charismatic dream, others like a beefcake extravaganza, but The Bachelor has always been must-watch series. No matter the person who’s looking for love, there’s always a healthy dose of drama and romance. So, will a 30th run happen after Grant’s season? Here’s what we know so far.
Will The Bachelor return for Season 30?
Deadline confirmed on June 30 that The Bachelor will be returning for Season 30 with a brand new showrunner. Following the exits of Claire Freeland and Bennett Graebner in March, Bachelor in Paradise’s new showrunner Scott Teti will also be taking over for The Bachelor.
It would be the most *dramatic* thing for the network to cancel the show, but fans were certainly concerned when it wasn’t initially announced as part of ABC’s 2025-2026 programming slate. Then again, the same could’ve been presumed for The Bachelorette. The popular spinoff is going on a hiatus in 2025 and has not been officially confirmed to return.
Season 30 is a milestone season for the series. We’re hoping for something spectacular in honor of this special occasion.
When does The Bachelor Season 30 premiere?
Plans for when it’ll air have not been revealed to the public. Recent past seasons have premiered in January and concluded in March.
Season 29 premiered on January 27, 2025. This mirrors Joey Graziadei‘s Season 28 run, which started a week earlier on January 22, 2024. Grant’s stint as The Bachelor wrapped on March 24.
Luckily, there is more Bachelor Nation programming to hold us over while we wait for The Bachelor‘s. The Golden Bachelor is confirmed to return in fall 2025, and Season 10 of Bachelor in Paradise premieres on July 7.
Who will be the star of The Bachelor Season 30?
Since there’s no Bachelorette season in 2025, what does this mean for The Bachelor Season 30 lead? Usually, the lead is chosen from the previous Bachelorette season. If The Bachelor returns for Season 30, ABC could go back into the pool of single Bachelor Nation stars to find their next lead. There are plenty of single guys!
Bachelor in Paradise was prioritized over The Bachelorette in the 2025 season. Paradise was previously put on hiatus for just one year. The Bachelor could find its new lead through Bachelor in Paradise Season 10. Or, ABC could air another season of The Bachelorette before bringing The Bachelor back, then have a new pool of guys to choose from. The possibilities are endless!
