Meri Brown is fully embracing the next chapter of her life. After several tumultuous years with ex-Kody Brown and the crumbling of their plural family, which was chronicled on Sister Wives, Meri has turned over a new leaf in Parowan, Utah.

After Christine Brown left, followed by Janelle Brown, Meri was the only sister wife left. Meri was Kody’s first wife. In 2014, they went through a legal divorce so Kody could marry Robyn Brown and legally adopt her kids from a previous relationship. Meri and Kody remained spiritually married until recently. In the latest season of Sister Wives, Meri permanently terminated their union by ending their marriage through their church.

“I am very happy where I am physically and mentally in my life,” Meri told Swooon. She has since moved to Parowan, where she’s busy running her bed and breakfast. In the lead-up to Meri’s departure from Coyote Pass, the family’s Arizona property, for good, Robyn was devastated to lose Meri. The 53-year-old revealed the current status of her relationship with her ex-husband and his wife.

“I don’t talk with them very much,” she revealed. “I just kind of live my life, and when our paths cross when we need to, then we do. But it’s not like friend status or best friend status, where you’re just checking in and sharing stories all the time. It’s not that.”

Meri stressed that she’s dedicated to “prioritizing” herself, even if it means letting her friendship with Robyn stagnate. “I know that she was very sad about the breakdown of the family, and it was very emotional for her. But yeah, I just need to prioritize myself,” she said.

Despite years of turmoil with Kody regarding their future, Meri doesn’t look back on her relationship with any regret.

“I don’t have any regrets because I’m not going to regret living a life that got me to where I am now,” she told Swooon. “I’m happy with who I am, so I wouldn’t learn the things that I learned about myself and about life and about just existing had I not had the experiences that I had.”
