Kelsey Anderson Evacuates L.A. Without Joey Graziadei Amid California Wildfires

What’s going on here? Kelsey Anderson evacuated her new Los Angeles home amid the California wildfires, but Joey Graziadei was not by her side as she fled to San Diego.
The Bachelor Season 28 winner reposted an Instagram Story from former Bachelorette Rachel Recchia, who also headed to the southern part of the state following evacuation orders. The clip showed Bachelor Nation’s Jess Girod making up a bed in her San Diego apartment with the caption, “Sleepover.” Anderson was tagged, along with Girod, Kylee Russell, and Recchia’s friend Sam Monachino. But where was Graziadei?
The former tennis instructor posted on his own Instagram Story that he was headed to Lake Tahoe on the morning of Wednesday, January 8, which was hours before Anderson evacuated later that evening. Graziadei went to the mountains for a snowboarding trip that was seemingly planned before the fires wreaked havoc on Los Angeles.
Graziadei and Anderson made Los Angeles their new home at the end of 2024. After temporarily living on the West Coast for his stint on Dancing With the Stars, the couple decided to stick around and get their first place together there. They previously lived with Anderson’s then-roommates in Louisiana for a few months before relocating.
The lovebirds celebrated the one-year anniversary of their engagement in November 2024, although they were not able to go public with their relationship status until after The Bachelor Season 28 finale aired four months after Graziadei popped the question. Anderson recently confirmed to PEOPLE that she and her fiancé are finally getting ready to move into the wedding planning process “in the next six months.”
“We’re not getting married this year, possibly next year or the following, because we got engaged so fast, we got engaged in two months,” she added. “So we want to really take our time still getting to know each other and be really serious about the wedding, and we don’t want it to be a stressful thing. We want to be able to enjoy the process of picking out the things that matter most to us in our wedding.”
