What To Know

  • Netflix has confirmed that XO, Kitty will return for Season 3.
  • The streamer shared a premiere date and synopsis in February 2026.
  • Anna Cathcart will return as Kitty along with most of the main cast, and Lana Condor is set to return.

Kitty Covey’s (Anna Cathcart) senior year at KISS is going to be even more special than we thought! Fans will remember that XO, Kitty is a spinoff of Jenny Han’s To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before movie trilogy, in which Kitty appears as Lara Jean Covey’s (Lana Condor) meddlesome younger sister. Though LJ’s boyfriend, Peter (Noah Centineo), makes an appearance in XO, Kitty Season 2, LJ herself hasn’t shown up — but that’s about to change.

Just ahead of its Season 3 premiere, XO, Kitty released a behind-the-scenes video from set. In the clip, Min Ho actor Sang Heon Lee asks, “Covey?” and it cuts to both Condor and Cathcart responding. LJ is back! “I would definitely never say never [to returning],” Condor previously told The Wrap. “I mean, I think it’s pretty clear that I love the To All the Boys world and have dedicated a lot of my young adulthood to it. To me, that world feels like home.”

Who will return for XO, Kitty Season 3?

The series wouldn’t be the same without its lead character, Kitty, so you best believe Cathcart will be back for the third season, along with Sang Heon Lee.

More familiar faces are set to return: Choi Min-young (Dae), Gia Kim (Yuri), Anthony Keyvan (Q), Regan Aliyah (Juliana), Hojo Shin (Jiwon, who will appear more frequently as a series regular), Peter Thurnwald (Alex), Joshua Lee (Jin), Sasha Bashin (Praveena), Michael K. Lee (Professor Lee), Philippe Lee (Mr. Moon), Jocelyn Shelfo (Madison), Han Bi Ryu (Eunice), and Sunny Oh (Mihee) have been confirmed.

Absent is Audrey Huynh, whose Season 2 character Stella was plotting Min Ho’s dad, Mr. Moon’s (Philippe Lee) downfall. Her plans are ultimately thwarted, so it looks like her story ends there.

Some new characters will be added to the mix, however. Sule Thelwell will play Marius, Soy Kim will play Yisoo, and Christine Hwang will play Gigi. Their character descriptions are still under wraps. And of course, Condor is back to reprise her role as LJ.

What’s XO, Kitty Season 3’s plot?

Not only do we have a premiere date at long last, but we also have an idea of what Kitty is in for during her senior year. According to the show’s synopsis, Kitty has the perfect plan: She’s going to spend time with her friends and relatives in Korea and make big decisions about her future. That includes defining her relationship with Min Ho (Sang Heon Lee) — until some “surprise revelations” get in the way.

“I’m so excited to head back to Seoul for another season with our incredible cast and crew. If you thought junior year at KISS brought the drama…just wait,” showrunner, executive producer, and writer Jessica O’Toole told Tudum. “I know we left fans on a cliffhanger at the end of Season 2, but I can promise Season 3 will be worth the wait, including our first summer episode — not to mention plenty of romance, friendship, adventure…and kissing. Lots of kissing.”

What happened at the end of XO, Kitty Season 2?

After making her grandmother (Ae Yon Han), known as halmoni in Korean, reunite with her sister, Kitty’s karma was rewarded by receiving the news that her heritage scholarship had been renewed. That wasn’t all Kitty accomplished: She also somehow saved Min Ho’s family from a complete press disaster.

With all of the happiness, you might be thinking that the series has wrapped up nicely with all your questions answered. But there’s still a cliffhanger! Kitty finally realized her feelings for Min Ho, but instead of telling him, she went out on a limb and asked to join him on Joon Ho’s tour. Will these two finally get together in Season 3?! Talk about the ultimate slow burn!
