Who Is ‘Great British Baking Show’ Star Alison Hammond’s Younger Boyfriend? Meet David Putman
British television presenter Alison Hammond has turned heads amid her relationship with David Putman. The couple has a 22-year age gap, which has made headlines amid their romance.
Although fans wondered if Hammond and Putman had split at the end of 2024 because they seemingly spent the holidays apart, they shut down any rumors of trouble in paradise when they were photographed kissing in London on January 17.

How old is Alison Hammond’s boyfriend?
Putman, who is from Russia, turned 27 in 2024, which means he was born at some point in 1997. Since Hammond turned 49 in 2024, her partner is more than 20 years her junior.
However, the This Morning host is unbothered by the age gap. “[He’s] so mature and sensible, and I’m so not,” she told Good Housekeeping UK in December 2024. “And the things he says to me … they’re just so lovely. It’s like a jigsaw. We fit and it all comes together.”

She added, “Yes, I’m 22 years older than he is, but if you saw us together, you’d understand. People have said to me: ‘We get it now.'” The ITV star also said that Putman being called her “toyboy” in the media “bears no relation to what we have at all.”
How did Alison Hammond meet her boyfriend?
Hammond met Putman when she was his massage client. She booked the service and he was the masseuse sent to her home to perform the massage, according to The Sun.
News of Hammond’s romance went public in 2022 when her This Morning co-host Dermot O’Leary had a slip-up on-air and revealed that Hammond was taken. Although Putman’s identity was still unknown at the time, Hammond confirmed that she had already been seeing her man for quite some time.
“He’s a lovely man and all I can say is that I’ve had him hidden for a year and a half. A year and a half I’ve been with him, and no one knew!” she told The Sun. “He loves me to bits. He absolutely worships me and massages my feet every single day. What more do you want?”

Putman works as a masseuse. He is a body therapist who focuses on “classic, lymphatic drainage, anti-cellulite, wraps, facial massage,” The Sun reported.

Hammond does not appear to be in a rush to walk down the aisle. “I’m happy the way things are, so I just don’t see the need to get married,” she said, per Hello! “I’ve made it to nearly 50 without marrying, and I’m so comfortable with my own company. I like myself. I know me from the inside out. I’d marry myself.”
In 2024, she also shut down engagement rumors after she was seen wearing a diamond ring on her left hand. “Oh, I have put this on the wrong finger,” she said on an episode of This Morning. “Let me swap it over to stop these rumors. It is just a cheap ring from Primark. It’s nice, isn’t it? Let’s swap it over as we don’t want those rumors.”

Hammond has a son named Aiden, whom she shares with ex-fiancé Noureddine Boufaied. The two split in 2014 after nearly 10 years together. Aiden turns 20 in February 2025, so he’s very aware of his mom’s love life.
“When [Aiden and David] actually met, he really liked him,” Hammond said on the Parenting Hell podcast in May 2024. “He really thought he was lovely, so that’s nice. Thank goodness for that. Because normally Aiden hates anybody I date. Literally just not interested. And you just know at that point, if Aiden doesn’t like them, this isn’t going to work. There are moments where I think, ‘Who’s the parent here?’ It’s nice, though, because I always feel like there’s someone looking over me, protecting me.”
