‘The Valley’s Brittany Cartwright Reveals Dating Life Update 1 Year After Jax Taylor Split
Brittany Cartwright is ready to get back into the game. A year after her separation from husband Jax Taylor, the Bravolebrity is trying to find “fun” in dating again.
The 36-year-old officially filed for divorce in August 2024. The reality TV couple were married for five years before splitting up. In that time, they welcomed their son Cruz Cauchi on April 21, 2021. Now that she’s no longer entangled with Taylor on a romantic level, Cartwright is opening up about what wants in her next relationship.
“[I’m] just looking for something I deserve and trying to just have fun while I can,” she told Swooon while promoting her partnership with Charmin. “I definitely want a guy who makes me laugh, who is kind, who is family-oriented, who just has their stuff together. But I’m not very picky. I just want to have fun right now.”
However, the Kentucky native did mention that some aspects of their pending divorce weigh heavily on her. “It’s still very hard, everything I’m going through,” she said. “There’s still a lot of feelings involved. There’s still a lot of ups and downs. There’s still a lot of emotions.” Although she does clarify, “I shouldn’t say emotions involved, not really feelings like that. Let’s not get into it.”
Even more, The Valley star added, “It’s hard, but we’re just trying to focus on co-parenting and different things like that. So dating can be weird. I’m just trying to have fun and enjoy it.”
Yet, it’s exactly the “fun” part of her current situation that she is putting emphasis on. Not wanting to be stuck in the past, Cartwright admitted, “I’m just kind of going with the flow. I’ve been having fun.”
In a light manner, she confessed, “I’ve got a couple crushes, but nothing serious.” Trying to take her time to heal, Cartwright divulged that she slowly feels like she is getting there, “Now that I’m at the year mark, I’m like, let’s go out there. Let’s have fun in 2025.”
This year, she will also take a big step forward in her professional career after having been near the bar and restaurant space. The Vanderpump Rules alum is going to open her own establishment, Britt’s, shortly. Working to make her dreams come true, the bar will be located in West Hollywood near SUR and Tom Tom’s. Her involvement in Jax’s was pretty clear, so now Cartwright will emulate that same energy for Britt’s. And, don’t worry, Mamaw’s beer cheese will also be available there!
