‘Bachelor’ Couple Arie & Lauren Luyendyk Give Shocking Family Update

Arie Luyendyk and Lauren Luyendyk had an exciting update to share with their fans in their latest YouTube video. The Bachelor couple, who share three children, opened up about what’s next for their family — and it’s quite different from the future they envisioned just a few years ago!
The video also documented Arie having a surgical procedure done so that he and his wife can (hopefully) get what they’re wishing for.
Yes, another Luyendyk baby is on the brain! Although Arie had a vasectomy shortly after Lauren gave birth to twins in June 2021, he decided to have the procedure reversed so that the pair can try for another child.

“We said that we were done having kids, like, I don’t know, a couple years ago,” Lauren shared in the video. “But I think we’re going to do one more.” Arie admitted that he “rushed” into having the vasectomy because having twins was “hard at first,” especially with his and Lauren’s eldest child, Alessi, only being 2 years old when her siblings were born.
“Six months into us having newborn twins, Arie scheduled his vasectomy without consulting me first,” Lauren explained. “He’s like, ‘OK, it’s happening, we gotta do this.’ And we did and I got on board.” However, once the twins grew up a bit, Arie started to think, “We could do this again,” especially if there was only one baby this time.
“He totally convinced me that that chapter’s closed, and I came to terms with that and now have to get out of that again,” Lauren added, which Arie referred to as “a little bit of whiplash.” She continued, “I’m getting there. Arie’s totally there, I’m getting there. We’re going to do it again!”
After finding a doctor in Scottsdale, Arizona, to perform the reversal, Arie had his surgery. “Hopefully, baby number four [is] coming soon,” Lauren teased.
Arie and Lauren met on Season 22 of The Bachelor in the fall of 2017. Although Arie proposed to Becca Kufrin at the final rose ceremony, leaving Lauren brokenhearted as his runner-up, he eventually realized that he made a mistake. Ahead of the finale in March 2018, he broke up with Kufrin and got back together with Lauren, then proposed to her at the live After the Final Rose.
They tied the knot in January 2019, less than a year later. Alessi was born in May 2019, followed by twins Senna and Lux in June 2021.
