Is ‘Love Is Blind’s Leo Braudy Dating ‘RHONY’ Daughter Ally Shapiro? The Truth

Who would’ve seen a Real Housewives of New York City and Love Is Blind crossover coming?
Not many fans of the reality TV realm thought it would happen, but Ally Shapiro and Leo Braudy have proven them all wrong. The duo first raised speculations about their possible romantic connection in December 2024 at Art Basel Miami. While there, the art dealer, original RHONY cast member Jill Zarin, and her daughter, Ally Shapiro, were seen hanging out.
Now, Shapiro is finally speaking out.
Hopping onto the TikTok, she said, “So, our relationship starts where most Jewish couples do — when my mom DM’ed him on Instagram. I swear to God it was not for me.” Shapiro and her mom have always been really tight.

The 32-year-old continued, “She loved him on the show, [and] I’m a huge Love Is Blind fan. Literally told my mom to watch the show for Leo because [I] loved it so much.”
As the two started talking, Shapiro and Braudy realized they had a lot in common. The 31-year-old D.C. native ended up single after his failed engagement to his Love Is Blind connection, Brittany Wisniewski, while Shapiro had decided to also call off her engagement around that time.
Both of them have publicly announced their “love” for each other. However, Shapiro revealed that their bond is not “romantic” at all.
“I feel like I became his sister,” she divulged. “I’ve had to rebuild my whole friend group, and he’s been a really big part of that. I think I’ve been a really good friend for him, as well, navigating this new world that he’s in.”
Shapiro added, “I just thought he was a great character and I could relate to him on a lot of levels.”
The reason for their close connection can also be attributed to their many similarities. Shapiro opened up, “[We also connected] on a much deeper level.” She added, “He had a lot of death and cancer in his family; I lost [my stepdad] Bobby. … We’re both also only children, and I feel like when you have a parent with cancer, you have a unique situation. We got very deep, very quickly.”
Not shying away from any question, Shapiro went in-depth about how the two met. “[My mom] slid into his DMs and we planned to meet during Basel [in] early December. Right before Basel, Leo called me and I was like, ‘What’s going on?’ Apparently, he’s a big talker. Now that I know him well, [I know] he loves phone calls and voice notes.” She also revealed that they “really connected” and that they speak daily. Braudy agreed with the way she views their friendship as he commented, “So grateful for you in my life,” he wrote via TikTok comment on Friday. “Friends that can relate on so many levels are rare and such a blessing.”
