Who Is ‘Wheel of Fortune’ Star Vanna White’s Husband?
Vanna White had an exciting update to share with Wheel of Fortune fans in January 2026: She’s married! The longtime letter-turner confirmed her secret marriage to longtime boyfriend John Donaldson in an Instagram post.
Despite previously admitting that she wasn’t sure if she and Donaldson would ever tie the knot, White explained, “John and I have been in love for more than a decade and a little while back, we wanted to make it official in a private ceremony. We’re excited to share this new joyful chapter in our lives with all of you!”

What does John Donaldson do for a living?
Donaldson works in construction. In 1987, he founded his own construction company called JDC Construction + Development Group (formerly John R. Donaldson, Inc.) The company is based in California and focuses on “the restoration and rehabilitation of Multifamily properties and now the development of new ground up multifamily projects,” according to its website.
Before venturing out on his own, Donaldson worked as a laborer in the San Fernando Valley. He eventually became the head foreman and started working on homes in the Hollywood Hills, which gave him some celebrity clients.
How did Vanna White meet her boyfriend?
The Wheel of Fortune star was hosting a barbecue in 2012, and Donaldson was brought to the event by one of her friends. After “talking for a long time that night,” the two have been together ever since.

Do Vanna White and John Donaldson have kids?
White and Donaldson do not have children together. However, she has two adult kids from her previous relationship with George Santo Pietro. White and Pietro got married in 1990, welcomed a son, Nicholas, in 1994, and daughter Giovanna in 1997. The exes split in 2002.
Following her split from Pietro, White was in a relationship with Michael Kaye, a California businessman. Although they were engaged, they never tied the knot and split in 2006.
Did Vanna White change her mind about marriage?
Prior to their wedding, White and Donaldson previously had no plans to tie the knot. In fact, in 2023, she told People, “I mean, we’ve been together 12 years, and I feel like we are married. Do we have to get married? No, because we feel comfortable in our relationship. You know what I mean? I know that he’s the one. He knows I’m the one.”
She also admitted that they “don’t really talk about” changing their relationship status to married. However, she teased, “But you never know. I mean, I guess we could, but in my eyes and his eyes, we are married.”
