Former ‘Vampire Diaries’ Costars Arielle Kebbel & Zach Roerig Are Dating! See the PDA Video
New couple alert! Arielle Kebbel and Zach Roerig, who previously starred as Lexi and Matt, respectively, on The Vampire Diaries, are now in a real-life relationship.
While their characters didn’t have a romantic storyline on the show, they did play love interests in the 2023 Hallmark movie Love in the Great Smoky Mountains: A National Park Romance. The duo recently confirmed their relationship at a Vampire Diaries fan convention in the cutest way ever.
An attendee captured a video of Roerig surprising Kebbel with flowers at the event, where she appeared to be hosting a meet and greet. She was absolutely shocked to see him, and the two ended up embracing and sharing a lengthy kiss in front of everyone. It’s unclear how they got together and when exactly they started dating, but they definitely looked like a full-fledged couple in the video!
Kebbel seemed fine with the fact that the video began going viral on Instagram, as she popped into the comments section and posted a bunch of red heart emojis. The stars both have not officially commented on their status, though.
Meanwhile, fans were stunned by the footage, but loved seeing these two together. “I had no idea they were dating. But I love this,” one person wrote. Someone else said, “They are so cute together,” and someone else added, “Never knew this! Ty. Makes sense.”
Roerig was briefly romantically linked to fellow Vampire Diaries costar Candice King during their time on the show. Roerig and King had main roles on the show for all eight seasons, while Kebbel appeared in nine episodes total.
Roerig also has a daughter with his ex-girlfriend Alana Turner. She was born in 2011 and the actor won full custody in 2013 while Turner was incarcerated.
