‘Say Yes to the Dress’ Bride Finds $8,000 Two-Piece Dress She Loves — But Her Sisters Hate It (VIDEO)
Sisters are always going to have opinions. Say Yes to the Dress bride Vanisha brings along her mom, Salene, and her sisters, Vanity and Vanica, to find her wedding dress in Swooon’s exclusive preview of the April 26 episode of the TLC series.
Vanisha tries on an $8,000 two-piece wedding dress from Lazaro. The ensemble features a strapless silk satin wedding gown with an attachable skirt. The bride is a fan of the look, but doesn’t get the reaction she wants when she walks out to show her mom and sisters.
Vanity and Vanica don’t hesitate to hide their dislike for the wedding ensemble. “I’m about to give it to you raw. I hate it,” Vanity says. Vanisha is stunned by the reaction.
The bride likes the two-piece dress concept and the material. “It’s prime in the ’90s,” Vanity says. Randy Fenoli chimes in, “It’s silk satin,” to which Vanity replies, “It’s satin ’90s.”
Randy points out that the “’90s are back” in the bridal world, but Vanisha’s sisters just aren’t feeling her look. “I’m feeling like Cinderella, and my wicked stepsisters were just so cruel with their opinions,” Vanisha says.
The bridal guru previously told Swooon how the ’90s have made a comeback in the world of weddings. He pointed out the Basque waist is having a resurgence right now, as are “very simple dresses.”
Also in the April 26 episode, bride Kelsey lost her mother at a young age, but her three aunts come to Kleinfeld to help her shop. Paris is a former bridal consultant who needs an over-the-top ball gown.
