Elizabeth Hurley Gives New Glimpse Into Billy Ray Cyrus Romance & Fans Are Still Confused
Things are heating up between Elizabeth Hurley and Billy Ray Cyrus. One week after the unexpected new couple confirmed their romance, they shared more insight into the relationship with new photos on Instagram.
Hurley posted two new photos to her page on Sunday, April 27, with the caption, “Tennessee weekend.” Both shots featured her and Cyrus cozying up to one another outside.
In the first photo, they leaned against a tree, with Cyrus wrapping his arms around the actress from behind. The second shot showed them seated next to each other with a dog in what looked like an ATV.
The comments section had some supportive messages, including posts that said, “You guys look perfect together,” and, “Happy for you.” However, the majority of commenters continued to express their confusion and even disapproval of Hurley’s new man.

“This is so weird,” someone commented, while another person said, “You could do so much better.” Another added, “I just don’t understand.” This was the overall consensus on their hard-launch post as well, which the couple shared on Easter Sunday. That post featured an image of Cyrus kissing Hurley on the cheek in the middle of a grassy field.
Cyrus recently opened up about the relationship on The Ty Bentli Show, where he explained that he first met Hurley while filming Christmas in Paradise, which came out in 2022. At the time, he was still married to Tish Cyrus, although they had separated.
“We did very few scenes together, but the couple times we were in the same scene, there was a chemistry there,” Cyrus admitted of Hurley. “We just laughed, and it was at a time I wasn’t laughing a lot. The oddest part was first, how much we laughed, second, I figured we were so different, but in some very strange way, we had way more in common than we had different.”
After not talking to Hurley for several years, Cyrus said he received a text from a number he didn’t recognize that read, “Hey, it looks like life might be a little bit tough and just wanted you to know I’m in your corner; you’ve got a friend in your corner.” The country singer underwent a messy divorce from Firerose in 2024.
Although the two aren’t looking too far ahead into the future, they’re embracing their time together right now. “If you can laugh together, you can make it through everything,” Cyrus gushed. “It’s been a long time since I’ve been this happy.”
