Will ‘Golden Bachelor’s Gerry Turner & Girlfriend Lana Sutton Get Married? He Weighs In
Gerry Turner is slowly spilling more details about his relationship with new girlfriend Lana Sutton. After opening up about the new romance earlier this month, The Golden Bachelor alum is now publicly discussing the couple’s plans for the future.
One year following his separation from Theresa Nist (they finalized their divorce in June 2024), Turner addressed whether he plans to walk down the aisle again with Sutton, with whom he said he felt “love at first sight.
“I don’t know that either of us necessarily would be looking to get married, but we’ve also said that’s not off the table,” Turner, who turns 74 in August and was previously married to first wife Toni for 43 years before her death, told People. Sutton is in her 50s and is divorced from her husband, Robert Sutton.
“We’ve come to the comfortable agreement that we both want a long-term, committed, permanent relationship,” Turner added. “[We feel like] we’re in that now.”
Regardless of whether they walk down the aisle, Turner and Sutton are already looking ahead. He even teased that they might be moving in together at some point.
“We’ve done a little bit of the fantasy house shopping, which has been nice. Trying to figure out if, at some point, we decide we want to buy a house together, if our styles and our tastes are the same,” the retired restaurateur shared. “And it turns out, yeah, they are pretty much the same.” The good news is they’re both from Indiana, so deciding on a location to live won’t be as difficult as it was for Turner and Nist.
It’s only been a little over a month since Turner and Sutton started dating after she reached out to him on Facebook, but they’re already making the most of their time together. So far, they’ve traveled almost every weekend of their relationship and have already made plans to head to Europe in July.
