‘General Hospital’: Is Spencer or Kai the Better Man for Trina? (POLL)

General Hospital fans are very protective of Trina Robinson’s (Tabyana Ali) heart. She was first introduced in 2017 and has become one of the soap’s most beloved characters.

From the moment Trina and Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) crossed paths, there were sparks. The chemistry was undeniable, and their slow burn was a treat for GH viewers. In a short amount of time, Trina and Spencer, known affectionately as Sprina, reached supercouple status. That’s the power of Sprina’s romance.

Unfortunately, Sprina didn’t get their happily ever after. In 2024, Spencer fell overboard into the Seine, and his body has yet to be recovered. Since his body has never been found, Sprina fans have been holding onto hope that Spencer could return to his treasured Trina via Chavez’s return or a recast.

Trina will always love Spencer, but she’s started to open up her heart again to Kai (Jens Austin Astrup). Trina and Kai’s romance has been quite the journey so far, but they’ve finally made things official. Only time will tell if they have staying power. “Despite her reservations, Trina has truly been there for Kai, and he’s letting the whole world know that she is his girlfriend. They show up for each other,” a fan said on X.

Sprina fans have stood by their ship despite Spencer’s absence. “A super couple that should still be on our screens getting into mischief, mysteries, loving, fighting, breaking up, then making up, wedding, babies, angst, & yearning. #GH fumbled the bag but refuses to acknowledge & correct their mistakes. To their ruin…” one fan wrote on X. 

Another fan declared, “One of the best Spencer and Trina. True romcom goodness….dialogue, acting, chemistry! 10/10!”
