‘Love Is Blind’ Season 8 Stars Give Surprising Update on Relationship Status
At this rate, we need a continuation of Love Is Blind Season 8. The latest season of the Netflix dating series wrapped up in March, but we’re still getting major relationship developments from the cast.
After declaring at the reunion that they were just friends, Meg Fink and Mason Horacek confirmed they had rekindled their romance just a few weeks later. Monica Danús dropped the bombshell news that ex-fiancé Joey Leveille and Sara Carton were in a relationship, which they denied. Rumors then swirled about Danús and Carton’s ex-fiancé Ben Mezzenga after they posted cozy videos. In their first joint interview, Leveille and Carton cleared up all the speculation and revealed their true relationship status.
“Right now, a lot of people think of dating in different terms, so to keep it clear, dating officially, like boyfriend, girlfriend, we’re not, but dating in the sense of exploring our relationship and getting to know one another? Yes, we are,” Carton confirmed on the Dear Shandy podcast with Leveille by her side. They were recently seen spending time in New York City together.
When host Sharleen Joynt asked the pair if they were dating “casually,” Carton responded, “Yeah, I would say that’s a good way to put it.” Leveille quickly added, “I wouldn’t say like casually… Casually in that we’re exploring and with the future of maybe being boyfriend, girlfriend.”
Carton revealed that two months ago, when Danús first said that Carton and Leveille were dating, they were just at the “very beginning stage of us.” While the couple wouldn’t say they’re serious about each other right now, Carton was confident that they could have a “very happy, successful relationship.”
Since they haven’t put a definitive label on their relationship, Carton admitted that they “haven’t even had our first date.” She continued, “I want to protect this of what it could possibly be for the future.”
When asked to rank their relationship on a scale of 1 to 11 (1 being texts at 3 a.m. and 11 being married with kids), Carton and Leveille said they were at 7.5 and 8, respectively.
Leveille and Carton were both engaged to other people during Season 8. They both made it to the altar with their partners. Danús broke things off with Leveille, while Carton ended her relationship with Mezzenga before saying “I do.” Despite speculation that Danús and Mezzenga were dating, Mezzenga stressed that they are just friends at the moment.
