Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes are no strangers to mixing their work and personal lives. Their relationship began when they were cohosts of GMA3: What You Need to Know, and they started their own podcast after going public as a couple.

Now, the journalists are switching things up in their personal and professional lives. While announcing the news, they acknowledged the fact that their relationship can be “messy.”

Robach and Holmes are going to be offering relationship help in an advice column for Yahoo called “Ask Amy & T.J.” The weekly series will debut on June 9 and feature the pair answering fans’ relationship questions.

“I feel like we’ve become experienced relationship veterans because we’ve had a lot of trial and error,” Robach admitted. Both she and Holmes have been married twice in the past. “I think you really, truly learn when you make mistakes; when there are problems, even failures,” she continued. “And we have learned significantly.”

Robach also acknowledged that she and her partner, who have said that they plan to tie the knot themselves one day, don’t have it “all figured out.” However, “We’re still learning, we’re still fighting, we’re still growing, we’re still evolving,” she added. “But being open and honest about the fact that it isn’t perfect, I think, is a huge starting point.”

Indeed, things were messy from the get-go for these two. When photos first surfaced of Robach and Holmes packing on the PDA in 2022, it was not publicized that they had separated from their respective spouses, Andrew Shue and Marilee Fiebig. They’ve insisted there was no overlap. Interestingly enough, Shue and Fiebig have gone on to begin their own romantic relationship.

“What it boils down to is that ours is a story people can relate to,” Holmes pointed out. “I think it’s a more attainable goal for people in relationships to get where we got: We went through hell and then realized on the other side, ‘I’m gonna be okay and this relationship is worth fighting for.'”

As Robach explained it, “We’re here to be the face of, ‘Life is messy.'” No topic is off limits in the advice column.
