General Hospital icon Vanessa Marcil‘s relationship history has become a topic of discussion following ex Brian Austin Green‘s comments on their past romance. In a new podcast interview, Green called his relationship with Marcil “very toxic.”

Who is Vanessa Marcil dating?
Vanessa Marcil is dating California Deputy Sheriff MC Martin. They’ve been together since at least 2015, which is when they announced their engagement. They haven’t disclosed when or how they met. Marcil frequently posts about Martin on Instagram and recently celebrated his 17th year of service with law enforcement.
Marcil refers to her fiancé as “MC,” and more personal details about her boyfriend have remained private. He does have a daughter named Riley from a previous relationship.

Two years later, Marcil revealed that Martin had been hospitalized. “My family want to thank the late-night ER doctors, nurses, law enforcement, and entire staff at Cedars Sinai for their incredible care all night and into the day today,” she wrote on Instagram at the time. “Deep gratitude to The Grossman Burn Center for your care of MC. First responders, we see you all who work on the frontlines all night in the ER and the tireless work you all do for our communities.” Martin has since recovered.
Why did Vanessa Marcil and Brian Austin Green break up?
Vanessa Marcil and Brian Austin Green met on the set of Beverly Hills, 90210. Green played original cast member David Silver. Marcil joined the cast in Season 9 as Gina Kincaid. They got engaged in 2001 and welcomed their son on March 30, 2002. They split in 2003.
“The relationship that I had with Vanessa was very toxic in that way. It wasn’t a loving, caring relationship,” Green recently said on the Old-ish podcast.
He added, “With my mom, everything was about me. And with Vanessa, it wasn’t that at all. … After two years, you’re kind of looking at yourself in the mirror, asking, ‘Who am I at this point? There’s not one piece of me that’s left. My relationship with everyone around me has changed.’ That relationship ended up not working out.”
In the wake of his comments, Marcil briefly changed her Instagram bio to “toxic single mom.” She also appeared to share alleged texts between her and Green. Marcil sent a photo of their son, and Green allegedly asked where it was taken. “Yesterday was his graduation,” Marcil responded. Green supposedly wrote back, “You did a really great job. He’s an amazing person.”

Yes, Vanessa Marcil has been married twice. She was married to Stand By Me actor Corey Feldman from 1989 to 1993. “We were kids,” she told Soap Opera Digest. “I was 18, it was puppy love, and we thought it would be fun to fly to Las Vegas at 3 o’clock in the morning and get married.”
She kept the marriage a secret from her parents for nearly a year. “We were legally married for about three years, but it wasn’t a conventional marriage. We never moved in together or really did any of the married stuff. Really, how much of a marriage can you have at 18?” Marcil added.
The actress married CSI: NY actor Carmine Giovinazzo on July 11, 2010. The following year, the couple announced they were expecting their first child together. In December 2011, Giovinazzo revealed that Marcil experienced a miscarriage. “V has had a miscarriage. Our second one this year. Thanx for the love and prayers,” Giovinazzo wrote under Marcil’s Twitter account in December 2011.
Marcil filed for divorce from Giovinazzo in August 2012. Their divorce was finalized in March 2013.
