Robert Irwin is headed to Dancing With the Stars this fall, but could another ABC show be in his future? The 21-year-old appeared in a new interview with mom Terri Irwin and sister Bindi Irwin, and they addressed whether he would ever star on The Bachelor.

“Don’t you think he should be the Bachelor next?” the Entertainment Tonight interviewer asked.

Robert seemed quite shocked by the suggestion and pawned the question off on his loved ones. “That question is to you guys,” he told Bindi and Terri. “How would you feel?” Bindi also wasn’t ready to answer and added, “That question’s for mum.”

Terri didn’t have much to say, but she did admit, “I think he would break a few hearts.”

Robert was the first cast member announced for the upcoming 34th season of DWTS, following in Bindi’s footstep after she won Season 21 in 2015. “I feel so lucky that I’ve got this older sibling to help guide me through all the trials and tribulations,” Robert admitted. “Because everything I’m going through, you’ve done it first. And dancing is another one of those things where you came into it, you never wore high heels before, and you just owned it.”

The rest of the cast, as well as Roberts’ professional partner, will be announced at a later date.

As for The Bachelor, ABC has not confirmed details of the show’s future. Season 29 aired earlier this year, and the franchise will continue with Season 10 of Bachelor in Paradise this summer and Season 2 of The Golden Bachelor this fall. The Bachelor and The Bachelorette have not officially been renewed yet.

Right now, Robert is a bit on the young side to lead the dating show, but do you think he’d be a good leading man in a few years? Let us know in the comments section below.
