What happened between Jenna Jarvis and Dakota Mortensen?
In the first episode, Jenna met with Taylor and Mayci Neeley to talk about Dakota. Jenna gave her phone to Taylor so she could see messages to and from Dakota. Jenna was candid about how she and Dakota went to the trampoline park, the dinosaur museum, and he also came over to her place and watched a movie. According to Jenna, Dakota spent the night more than once.
Jenna was adamant with Taylor that she and Dakota never had sex. They just did “a little more than making out,” but nothing further than that because she was raised Mormon and felt like “she was sinning.”
Taylor admitted that Dakota “definitely lied a ton” and deleted several messages to cover his tracks. “He made it seem like she was the one that was always instigating and begging. No, it was him,” Taylor said in a confessional. “He said he had just kissed her on the couch. No, he went on the couch, they hooked up on the couch, and then they went to the room and they hooked up.”
Jenna also told Taylor that she asked Dakota about his relationship status. She claimed that Dakota said he was “just seeing Taylor for clout” and to build his social media platform. (Dakota and Taylor share a son, Ever True, who was born in March 2024.)
In the same episode, Taylor asked Dakota to move out of their place. He claimed that the only thing that he didn’t tell Taylor about the Jenna situation was that they were in Jenna’s room because he knew that would hurt her. “I deleted some messages that if she was to read those that would essentially make me lose her and my son. I did lie. I was always doing it selfishly to protect myself,” he says.
Dakota cried in his confessional and said, “I would do anything to have my family, to be with Taylor, and unfortunately, I hurt her really bad.”
Ahead of the Season 2 premiere, Jenna shared an Instagram Story and wrote, “Also can’t believe I’m on the show because of a random situationship like 3 years ago so funny ahahaha can’t wait to see how tf they portray me and my 10 seconds of fame.”

In a TikTok video posted on premiere day, Jenna opened up about the day she filmed her appearance on the show. After looking back at their text messages, Jenna realized she was “pretty hurt in this situation.”
