Crossover! ‘Bachelorette’s Tyler Norris & ‘The Voice’ Contestant Alyssa Sheridan Are Engaged
In an epic reality television crossover, a contestant from The Bachelorette and Bachelor in Paradise is engaged to an alum from The Voice!
Tyler Norris and Alyssa Sheridan announced their engagement on Tuesday, May 13, two days after he popped the question on the beach in his New Jersey hometown.
Norris shared the news via Instagram with a sweet message for his bride-to-be. “Well I’ve been dreaming of this day since the day I met you,” he wrote, along with photos from the beachside proposal. “You’re everything I could have ever asked for and more. How I got so lucky to meet you still doesn’t make sense to me. I love you more than I can explain Lyss, now let’s do this damn thing future Mrs. Norris!”
The couple went public with their romance at the end of 2023, just months after Norris’ second stint on Bachelor in Paradise (he quit during Week 4 of Season 9 after a brief romance with Mercedes Northup.) It’s unclear how the couple met.

Norris previously appeared on Season 19 of The Bachelorette in 2022. He dated Rachel Recchia and made it to hometown dates before she eliminated him. That summer, he was on Season 8 of Bachelor in Paradise and left the show in a relationship with Brittany Galvin. However, by the time of the reunion in November 2022, they had already been broken up for a few months.
He revealed that she ended their relationship via FaceTime after they met each other’s parents. She later defended the decision, telling Bachelor Happy Hour, “A lot of people sent me hate for breaking up with him over FaceTime, but when you only dated someone for a month and a half and you live long distance, I don’t really know the way you’re supposed to go about it.”
Meanwhile, Sheridan was a contestant on Season 9 of The Voice in 2015. She didn’t get any chairs to turn during her blind audition, and has seemingly moved on from pursuing music as a career path. Earlier this year, she revealed via Instagram that she is in nursing school.
