There’s something incredibly natural about chatting with reality TV star Chloe Veitch. Maybe it’s the fact that we’ve watched her compete and date on reality TV for years as a contestant on Too Hot to HandleThe Circle, and Perfect Match, but sitting down and actually getting to know her felt like reconnecting with an old friend.

In April 2025, Netflix announced that Veitch would be hosting their new dating show, Sneaky Links: Dating After Dark. Per Netflix’s announcement, the show follows “a group of not-quite-so-single daters who check into the Sneaky Links Motel with their casual flings to discover if they are meant to be, or just getting in the way of finding long-lasting love.”

Ahead of the Season 1 premiere of Sneaky Links, we sat down with Veitch to learn more about her hosting debut, future career goals, and, of course, her love life. Scroll to read our interview with the Sneaky Links host!

Having been on three Netflix reality shows, at this point, you’re basically reality TV royalty. What inspired you to make the shift from contestant to host on Sneaky Links: Dating After Dark?

Chloe Veitch: What inspired me was, I think, just going through six years of heartache, heartbreak, and finding myself amongst all of that chaos. And then thinking: What is my purpose?

I wanted to be a doctor when I was younger. Obviously, I’m not a doctor now, but what is my purpose? I think being on reality TV, it’s very like, ‘Okay, this is fun.’ You get to meet different people, but then it comes to a point where you lack purpose in what you do, and you start to feel a void. So I thought, well, why don’t me and Netflix collab on a show, where I’m the host, and I help people that are in that position and kind of be that relatable big sister.

Your new show is Sneaky Links: Dating After Dark. For anyone who doesn’t know, what is a sneaky link?

Veitch: Basically, I’ve got a sneaky link right now. So if I explain, you only really meet them after certain hours. You never see them outside of certain hours. Only in the PM, never in the AM. You never agree to go on dates. It’s almost like you don’t want your friends finding out that you’re having sex with this person. You don’t want your family to either. If your mom Facetimes you, you’re not answering it when you’re around them.

But then there’s a boundary problem of, ‘Oh, he’s starting to catch feelings for me. Okay, I’m just going to ghost him now.’ But then once he starts talking to other people and his feelings start to disassociate from me, that’s when I’ll try and back in, and I’m like, ‘Hey, do you want to come over tonight?’

How does that kind of relationship translate to the Sneaky Links Motel, and why did you choose that setting?

Veitch: Meeting someone that you’re scared to commit to in such a neutral place is the perfect scenario for sneaky links. You’re not going to bring them back to your house. You’re not going to go to their house. Or if you do, it’s only going to be like two or three days a week. It’s not going to be every day of the week. Otherwise, that’s like boyfriend-girlfriend type sh*t, and that isn’t going to run, especially with sneaky links.

Being in a motel also allows them to sit in their own thoughts. Because you’ve got [other reality shows like] Too Hot to Handle, where there’s a big room with double-size beds, and they all sleep in the same room. We don’t want that. We want them to truly reflect. Even though it’s a sexy show and it’s like, ‘Oh, these guys have issues,’ we all have issues. There needs to be some sort of space where they learn from the experience.

Is there anything you learned about yourself from working on Sneaky Links?

Veitch: One of the things that I learned with Sneaky Links is that behind the scenes, I was in the control room. I could see everything, and I heard EVERYTHING. It was crazy. It actually gave me anxiety. [The people in production] do genuinely see and hear everything.

I think knowing what I know now about production, I don’t think I could [be a contestant] again. I think I just want to be a host now. But I’m definitely— I know I’m going to be the next host of Love Island USA. We need to put it out there. Chloe Veitch is coming for whoever’s job it is to host Love Island USA.

Now that you’ve stepped into the role of a host, what’s next for your career?

Veitch: At the moment, I’m working with development and production companies to develop certain shows that I’ve written that I really want to produce. So even though I’m onscreen, I really want to be off-screen.

I’m 26 years old now. I could definitely do Battle Camp or The Circle again and all of that, and I would love to do it, because that’s what led me to the point where I’m at now. But I just think, personally, if I don’t elevate myself now, I’m going to be stuck in that box. I want kids in the next year. Like, I want children. I want to get engaged. I want to get married. I want to fly my family out here. I want it all in the next year or two.

Speaking of relationships, you recently posted a TikTok saying that you’re in love again, but haven’t confirmed who you’re seeing. Anything you want to share with the class?

Veitch: I mean, to be honest with you, I don’t know. I mean, am I falling in love? Yeah, I’m definitely falling in love. Is it the right decision for me right now, for my career, and where I want to go? I don’t know. He hasn’t met my friends yet, really, so I can’t say that I’m with anyone right now without my friends’ approval.

Do you think your friends will like your mystery man?

Veitch: Yeah, I’m trying different approaches. Do you know what I mean? I feel like people who have been on reality TV and done the whole shabang. I’ve dated them previously, like I’ve even dated virgins like Mitch Eason. I’m a girl who needs to be mentally stimulated and emotionally stimulated. And now I’m a host! Do you know what I mean? I feel like the bracket of men and women is going to increase.

Is your mystery man someone we would recognize?

Veitch: Yeah…
