What is the premiere date for The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives Season 3?
When Hulu announced that The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives was renewed for a second season, the streaming service confirmed that Season 2 would consist of 20 episodes. The May 15 drop only included 10 episodes. The streamer decided to split the second season into two 10-episode seasons.
Season 3 of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives will premiere on November 13. Hulu has not announced a reunion yet, but the special will likely make a comeback as well.
“#MomTok is back, but damaging revelations and allegations threaten its future,” the synopsis reads. “The members face a crisis of friendship as loyalties shift, trust is tested, and the lines between fact and fiction blur. When the pursuit of the truth calls character into question, a war over morality begins and a clash between #MomTok and #DadTok erupts. With their sisterhood and everything they’ve built hanging in the balance, can the women find a path forward to salvation? Or will their collective sins destroy #MomTok for good?”
EnWho will return for The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives Season 3?
The main stars of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives will be stirring up more drama in third season. While there was some debate about whether or not Demi Engemann would return because she said she was “done with MomTok,” she is on the confirmed cast list for Season 3.
Demi, Jen Affleck, Whitney Leavitt, Mikayla Matthews, Mayci Neeley, Jessi Ngatikaura, Taylor Frankie Paul, Layla Taylor, Miranda McWhorter, as well as the men of DadTok, are returning. Ahead of the Season 3 return, Whitney and Jen will be competing on Dancing with the Stars Season 34.
Is there a Secret Lives of Mormon Wives Season 3 trailer?
Yes, Hulu dropped the trailer on October 22, and the drama is at an all-time high. As the Season 3 synopsis reveals, “The members face a crisis of friendship as loyalties shift, trust is tested, and the lines between fact and fiction blur. When the pursuit of the truth calls character into question, a war over morality begins and a clash between #Momtok and #Dadtok erupts.”
The trailer begins with Neeley admitting, “MomTok is at its lowest point right now.” While the ladies do get away for some “fun,” it doesn’t take long for things to escalate. With Affleck away to “focus on her mental health,” Leavitt and Engemann are “not to be trusted,” according to Paul. Leavitt shocks the group when she reveals, “I’m going to start my own MomTok.”
Affleck is admittedly “scared to come back” and rejoin the group, noting, “If it’s bad, I’m packing my bags and I’m going back to Arizona.” There’s confrontations between Engemann and various of the other women, while Taylor notes, “We’re skeptical about Miranda,” and she’s asked to take a lie detector test.
Of course, the drama everyone’s been waiting for is also referenced: What happened between Vanderpump Villa’s Marciano and Engemann/Ngatikaura? “I honestly think Demi will stop at nothing to ruin my reputation,” Ngatikaura says. Matthews and Neeley even meet up with Marciano at one point to try and set the record straight.
Meanwhile, a pregnant Matthews also admits to “struggling behind closed doors” in her marriage.
What happened in The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives Season 2?
The first half of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives Season 2 ended with MomTok in shambles. All of the drama reached a boiling point, with Demi calling Taylor a “disgusting human being” in the Part 1 finale. After feeling backed into a corner without support from her fellow MomTokers, Demi declared that she was “done with MomTok.”
Whitney gave birth to her third child, while Mikayla, Mayci, and Jen all discovered they were pregnant in the first half of Season 2. During a pregnancy roulette game in Season 2, Demi got upset when she learned about Mayci and Mikayla’s pregnancies. “I can’t even explain how deeply sad I’m feeling at this moment,” she admitted. Demi was open about her fertility struggles in Season 2. She and her husband, Bret Engemann, have been trying to conceive for four years.
Earlier in the season, Jen decided to stop filming to focus on her mental health. Her marriage to Zac Affleck had reached rock bottom, and they had chosen to separate. When Zac returned to Utah, they were working on their relationship, but a Chippendale’s prank at the Halloween party derailed their progress. When Jen discovered she was pregnant with her third child, she chose to take a break from filming.
Speaking of the Halloween party, there was a heated confrontation between Taylor and Chase McWhorter, Miranda’s ex, who was involved in the swinging scandal. Taylor later shared new details about her soft swinging days with Miranda, Chase, and Taylor’s ex, Tate Paul. “We did have sex in the shower with our husbands altogether. We also had sex in the same bed and at the same time. We would blindfold each other and you would have to guess which husband you were kissing,” Taylor revealed.
