‘Duck Dynasty’ Star Sadie Robertson Reveals Why She & Husband Christian Huff Are in Couples Counseling
After millions watched her grow up on Duck Dynasty, Sadie Robertson will be returning to the world of reality TV in Duck Dynasty: The Revival. This time around, she’ll be bringing her family with husband Christian Huff into the fold.
The couple has been married since 2019, and they’ve welcomed two kids since then (with another on the way). Robertson and Huff open up about “hard” times in their marriage and why they’ve been seeing a counselor in a new interview.
Turns out, they’ve actually been seeing a couples’ counselor since before they got married. “It is the greatest thing,” Robertson told Us Weekly. “She helps us love each other more.”
Since they’ve gotten married, Robertson admitted that she and Huff have “been through some hard things together,” including their adjustment to parenthood. “[There’s] been some definitely deep, deep times in our marriage that have definitely bonded us,” Robertson noted.
Huff added that all people “go through difficult things,” but you “have to have the vulnerability to discuss them.” For the couple, solid “communication” is the key to keeping their marriage strong. “When we got married, Christian became a true partner in life with me and a best friend,” Robertson gushed.
The couple welcomed their first child, daughter Honey James, in May 2021. Their second daughter, Haven Belle, was born in May 2023. On Valentine’s Day 2025, Robertson and Huff announced they were expecting their third child later this year.
The original Duck Dynasty ran from 2012 to 2017 and became a global phenomenon. Huff watched the hit A&E series growing up and had a crush on his now-wife before he even met her. “I told some people on my baseball team that I was going to marry her,” Huff admitted, “and somehow it happened.”
