‘Sneaky Links’ Star Kelsey Tomlin Slams Colt Fason Over Split Drama: ‘I Was Literally Lied To’

Sneaky Links: Dating After Dark star Kelsey Tomlin is ready to set the story straight.
On May 29, 2025, Kelsey spoke with Swooon to talk about her on-screen relationship and off-screen breakup with Colt Fason, her friendship with Angelique Wilcox, and life after the motel.
The day prior, Colt shared with Swooon that his breakup with Kelsey happened less than a month after the show had finished filming. He claimed, “There was just some extra pressure and stress and anxiety” they hadn’t faced when they were in the motel. However, in Kelsey’s eyes, that could not be further from the truth.
From her perspective: “We obviously left the [Sneaky Links] motel together, and then we were in the vans to go to our actual hotels once filming was wrapped. I gave him a hug, walked away, and went to my room. And then, literally, the next day, Brandon [Limeres] told me that as soon as I walked away, [Colt] told Brandon, ‘Well, that’s going to be a hard conversation.'” While he had told her he loved her on camera minutes prior, the breakup was “literally immediate.”
As for that “hard conversation” Colt told Brandon was coming? According to Kelsey, “There was no conversation until I finally texted him.” She shared, “I think it was a week after we had been back home, and I was like, ‘Hey, do I not deserve just a little bit of respect or even just a conversation?’ I mean, you literally just said ‘I love you’ on national television, and we haven’t even spoken since.” After that, he told her “that there were genuine feelings there and stuff.” However, Kelsey felt that she learned his true character when he proved he would say something as dramatic as “I love you” on camera and then go “just completely dead silent” in real life.

That’s why, when Kelsey and Sneaky Links costar Angelique Wilcox (who she confirmed is now a close friend) read our May 28 interview with Colt, they felt he wasn’t being honest. Kelsey said, “When I read it, I think I was just the most taken aback by how he proceeds to say that he believes he did no wrong to either one of us.” She continued to say that while he claimed “that one of the main factors of us breaking up was that I became insecure when we got back home, with him needing to tend to family and coworkers and everything,” that’s just “so not true. We literally did not try to have a relationship at all because this man went ghost.” Simply put, after they left the Sneaky Links motel, “There was no relationship at all.”
For Kelsey, the major contributing factor to their post-show breakup was an alleged relationship that Colt pursued both before and after filming. She told Swooon, “I don’t want to say 100% certain, but I’ve had people reach out to me and give way of that.”
Kelsey and her Sneaky Links bestie, Angelique, are “just tired of being gaslit.” She added, “We’re done. We’re not playing nice anymore. We’re calling you out because you’re so in denial.”
Talking about her friendship with Angelique, Kelsey revealed, “I hate that people are trying to pin us against each other. We’ve come to terms with the situation and have both seen it for what it is.” She quipped, “We, in fact, weren’t the problem.”

Looking back at leaving the Sneaky Links motel together (at least on camera), Kelsey said that when she heard Colt say “I love you,” she was definitely caught off guard. “We were at a very good place together, but I mean, like a week prior, we were literally just figuring out if we were going to be together,” she explained. “I was definitely taken aback, but I also think that when you’re in that reality TV world, your emotions are very high and not necessarily logical.”
The realization that their relationship may not be all that it seemed came after filming. Back at the hotel, Kelsey “had a crash out” and realized, “I was lied to this whole time. Because there’s no way that man actually loves me. There’s no way that those words are true. He was doing it for show. I was literally lied to the entire time.”
While Kelsey regrets getting so “honed in” on her relationship with Colt, she admitted that he caught her eye because they “had met at a bar before.” No, Kelsey and Colt were not pre-show sneaky links. However, Kelsey remembered that she and Colt “met one time at a bar and had maybe a four-minute conversation.” Even though she was surprised when she saw Colt at the motel, Kelsey remembered thinking, “Whoa, is God trying to tell me this is meant to be?” Despite everything, she shared, “I did see [our] potential of it being something real in the outside world.”
As for what really happened outside of the Sneaky Links motel, another aspect of Colt’s interview that Kelsey felt was inaccurate was his depiction of their run-ins in Nashville. She explained, “Nashville is a lot smaller than it seems, and we have a lot of mutual friends. So when we first got back, there were a couple of flirty run-ins with each other.”
But that is where their stories diverge. She shared, “Once I found more and more stuff out, [the run-ins] turned more into us yelling at each other at the bar. At this point, when I see him out, it’s an eye roll and look the other way for me.” Kelsey did make it clear that while they are not on “good, catching-up speaking terms” like Colt claimed, she does not have any “hate or any bad type of emotion towards him.”
She continued, “He’s selfish… He doesn’t see that the way he acts is affecting other people, and he’s not taking other people’s emotions into account. I think that he’s doing a lot of this for show and his five minutes of fame.” In her opinion, “He should take a step back, look at the bigger picture, and maybe make a few changes moving forward, because what he’s doing right now is nasty, it’s gross, and it’s not a good look.”
Since filming Sneaky Links about a year ago, Kelsey revealed that she is currently single. “I’m going to be very particular with the next person that I explore things with. I feel like I was put through the ringer a little bit in this last [relationship], and having to relive it has been kind of just a little bit of like an emotional roller coaster,” she told Swooon. “I’m not necessarily on the prowl, but if somebody came into my life and complemented what I see myself doing in the future, and my values, and everything, then I would definitely entertain the idea for sure.”
