‘Golden Bachelorette’s Joan Vassos & Chock Chapple Give Update on Wedding Timeline

No, Joan Vassos and Chock Chapple still haven’t set a wedding date. As they approach the one-year anniversary of their engagement this summer, The Golden Bachelorette couple gave a new update about their timeline for walking down the aisle.
They appeared on Tuesday’s episode of the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast and revealed when they think they’ll start making plans for their big day.
After host Joe Amabile asked if the plan was to “hopefully move in together at some point and then [get married],” Vassos responded, “Yeah, I would say in the next 18 months we’ll be in that place, but we’re not rushing it. There’s no reason to. We want to make sure we do it right.”
Vassos is still living in Maryland, while Chapple is in Kansas, but they make sure to see each other about every two weeks. Although long distance has been working for them so far, Vassos said that they will eventually move in together.
“We’re going to make wedding plans, it just doesn’t seem like a rush. We don’t have a biological clock. It also seems to me a little bit, when you get married, you really probably should be living together at that point,” she explained. “And we still have a little bit of time where we need to be apart. Chock still has a business. We’re both really still kind of busy, and we’re having fun meeting [every two weeks].”
She later added that Chapple still “has a little ways to go” when it comes to settling things with his insurance business, so there’s “no huge rush” to take the next step just yet. “It seems like maybe [getting married] would put a strain on our relationship at this point because we’re both really busy, and it’s working out really well the way we’re doing it right now,” Vassos said.
The couple also still plans to get a place together in New York City, but the timeline on that has also been pushed back. “Most likely, stay tuned, August, September, we’ll make an announcement,” Chapple teased. “I’m a little frugal, I’m not going to deny that. We’ve been traveling so much. We just wanted to put it on hold to make sure when we do get the place, we’re going to be able to use it.”
