A hot new bombshell has entered the villa… And they look quite a bit like you!

Have you ever wanted to see your name written in pink cursive on a water bottle? Have you ever wanted to fall asleep surrounded by strangers sharing far too many queen beds for one room? Have you ever wanted the internet’s opinion on your (mildly unhinged) dating habits? If you answered yes to any of these questions, Love Island USA  may be the perfect dating show for you.

On June 3, Love Island USA Season 7 premiered on Peacock (after a shockingly long delay). So, if you’re looking for us, just know that for the next few months we’ll be at home watching the villa shenanigans from the comfort of our own couches (almost) every night.

Whether watching new Islanders enter the villa for a summer of romance has reignited your quest for love, or piqued your curiosity when it comes to reality TV casting, look no further. We’ve rounded up everything you need to know about Love Island USA‘s audition process, including eligibility requirements, as well as some of the most shocking questions on the application.

How do you apply to be on Love Island USA?

The only place you can apply to be on Love Island USA is loveisland.castingcrane.com. The application specifically asks: “Are you ready to find love, adventure, and your moment in the spotlight?” Continuing, “We’re searching for vibrant, charismatic singles to join us for an unforgettable summer of romance, drama, and fun. Don’t miss your chance to be a contestant on Season 7—apply here and let the journey to love begin!”

We’re sorry to say that most of us missed our chance to be on Season 7, as the Islanders entered the villa on June 3. However, we’re sure that Love Island USA will be looking for “vibrant, charismatic singles” for Season 8 very soon!

If you end up applying to be on the show, make sure you only respond to “legitimate emails” from “@citymediaent.com or @itv.com domains.” As the only official location for the hit reality show’s casting efforts, the website features a statement to the “Love Island USA Family,” with this warning: “We’ve received reports of individuals impersonating our casting team.” Be safe out there, Swooonies!

Is Love Island USA actively casting bombshells for Season 7?

Yes! If you’re particularly taken with any of the current Islanders, you are in luck because Love Island USA is currently hosting the Love Island USA Pop-Up Villa: Casting Tour. Peacock will be stopping in Atlanta, San Diego, and the Jersey Shore to find Love Island USA‘s next hot new bombshell, starting on June 7. If you want to get in on the action, now you can, because “entry is free and open to all fans!” We’d suggest arriving early because Peacock says that entry is “first come, first served.” Dress to impress and prepare to answer some “cheeky questions!”

Who is eligible to apply for Love Island USA?

There are nine major eligibility requirements: You have to be 18 or older; you have to have two valid forms of ID; you need a passport; you can’t already be affiliated with production or their sponsors; you can’t hold a political position; you have to be willing to sign waivers; you have to be able to come to the producers if they request to meet you; and finally, you have to understand that the producer “reserves the right to change the rules and procedures at any time.” Yeesh!

What questions are on Love Island USA’s casting application?

The Love Island USA casting application contains 80 questions that range from menial icebreakers to therapy-level philosophical queries. Much like The Bachelor (you can find an article explaining their casting process here), Love Island USA‘s application begins with the expected: name, age, height, weight, contact info, etc. While the first round of Bachelor casting is quite short, Love Island has no shortage of round one questions.

Prepare to discuss your job and social media presence, topics that the application uses to set the stage for Question 34: “Do you have an ONLY FANS? Ever made an appearance on an Adult Film site or exclusive content site?” After answering that biggie, you’re asked to take a stroll down memory lane, describing facts and lessons learned from your previous relationships and family life.

Once you hit Question 54, you’re in miscellaneous territory. Questions range from asking for fun facts (“Who is your celebrity crush and why?”) to brutal truths (“What is the most difficult thing you have ever been through?”). You should also be prepared to defend why you want to be on Love Island and what you think you would get from the experience. As production suggests, these questions are meant to “show your personality,” allowing you the space to “be honest and unique.”

If you’re not much of a writer, don’t worry! The Love Island casting application isn’t all written. Producers require all potential Islanders to submit three pictures from the past year, a 30-second video describing themselves, and an optional video telling the story of their most embarrassing moment on a date. In our opinion, you should always take the option to give them extra content that will support your submission. Once you’ve filmed your videos, you are all set to send in your application!

From all of us here at Swooon, we want to wish you the best of luck in your Love Island USA audition! We just know you’ll be squealing “I got a text!” on our screens in no time.
