Teddi Mellencamp is finding time for love. Just three months after finding out that her melanoma had metastasized to her brain and lungs, requiring multiple surgeries and treatments, Mellencamp debuted her new romance on June 2.

The former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star announced in April that all of her tumors had either shrunk or disappeared. Her estranged husband, Edwin Arroyave, has been supporting her amid her hospitalizations, but they are no longer romantically involved.

Instead, Mellencamp is moving on with someone new. “I’m dating somebody,” she said on her Two Ts in a Pod podcast on June 3, one day after she and her man were photographed packing on the PDA in Los Angeles. “He’s very kind to me. He’s taking good care of me.”

Who is Teddi Mellencamp’s boyfriend?

So far, Mellencamp has not revealed the identity of her mystery man.

What does Teddi Mellencamp’s boyfriend do for a living?

While his career is not known, Mellencamp did confirm that her new love is a “very private person.”

However, he’s been supportive of her position as a public figure. “I asked him, like, ‘Do I even say your name?'” Mellencamp shared. “And he’s like, ‘It’s really whatever you want to do, I know you’re a public person.'”

Does Teddi Mellencamp’s boyfriend have kids?

No, he does not have children. “He’s nice. He’s not married, he doesn’t have any kids,” Mellencamp confirmed. On the other hand, she and Arroyave share three young children.

When did Teddi Mellencamp start dating her boyfriend?

The exact timeline of their relationship is unclear, but it began at some point between March and early June 2025. When Mellencamp appeared on the Diamonds in the Rough podcast in March, she didn’t appear to be in this new romance yet. However, she did reflect on a past brief relationship that ended shortly after the Super Bowl in February.

Mellencamp said she went on “four or five dates” with a guy she called “Bob,” but two days after their last hangout at a Super Bowl party, she was hospitalized and learned she had multiple brain tumors. Things fizzled out with “Bob,” as Mellencamp explained, “Bob [called me and said], ‘I was talking with my mom and we both need to know if you’re gonna be in a place to have more kids.’ I cried and said, ‘You’re really hurting my feelings. I don’t think now’s the time to have that conversation.'”

In an interview published on April 2, Mellencamp told Us Weekly that she was using dating apps and hinted that she was talking to someone. “The first one asked me if I wanted to have more kids, and I was like, ‘I’m in the hospital. This isn’t really the right time, bud. I have a head wrap on. I just learned my own birth date,’” Mellencamp explained, seemingly rehashing the “Bob” story. “But the other guy is super nice, super sweet, kind. Exactly what I need right now.”

It’s unclear if the second person she described is her new mystery man.
