Will Billy Ray Cyrus & Elizabeth Hurley’s Relationship Last? Astrologer Weighs In

Miley Cyrus has finally shared her thoughts on father Billy Ray Cyrus‘ relationship with new girlfriend, Austin Powers star Elizabeth Hurley. She’s being “an adult about it,” the singer told The New York Times. Cyrus’ relationship with his children, particularly Miley, has been rocky for some time. But his newfound relationship with Hurley seems to have changed everything.
He told People, “It’s been a long time since I’ve been this happy.” After meeting on the set of the 2022 holiday film, Christmas in Paradise, and reconnecting during a harsh time in Cyrus’ life, the two publicly announced their relationship over Easter weekend. Debuting just a few months after Cyrus’ divorce from his second wife, Firerose, the announcement naturally sent the Internet into a tizzy. While Cyrus claims he’s never been happier, and Hurley reassures that they’re very compatible, fans are still finding the relationship hard to grasp.
In both of Hurley’s most recent Instagram updates (one with the caption, “Tennessee weekend”, and the other dressed to the nines for the opening of a Valentino gallery), fan comments were a mixed bag of “so happy for you” and “what is happening?” Others simply share comments of their disapproval, such as: “What the heck is she thinking?” or “Run for the hills Liz.”

In any case, even up against scrutiny and ridicule, the couple is going strong. Since Swooon is all about love, let’s analyze their compatibility, shall we?
Billy Ray Cyrus and Elizabeth Hurley’s Astrological Compatibility
As an astrologer, after looking at their charts, I can definitely understand why they gravitate toward one another. But even more than that, the two have a unique composition in their charts together that fosters attraction, respect, and intensity.
We have Billy Ray Cyrus’ confirmed chart, but we don’t have Elizabeth Hurley’s time of birth. This means we can get insight into most of their compatibility, but not quite all, as we don’t have Hurley’s rising sign or confirmed Houses.
But don’t you worry. There’s still plenty of juiciness to talk through. Read on to learn why Billy Ray Cyrus and Elizabeth Hurley’s romance could avoid “achy breaky hearts.”
They Have Sexy and Fun Chemistry
When you talk about sexual compatibility as an astrologer, you’ll look at three things: Mars, Venus, and the 5th House. Lo and behold, this couple activates all three of these factors.
Fifth House Stellium: The first thing to note is that many of Hurley’s personal planets (Sun, Venus, and Mercury) are sitting in Cyrus’ 5th House of dating, flirtation, and childhood fun. This means that the way Hurley identifies herself (Sun), operates in a relationship (Venus), and expresses her thoughts (Mercury), can almost make Cyrus feel like a child again. It can provide such a fun and easygoing environment for a relationship. Billy Ray Cyrus told People, “The oddest part was first, how much we laughed.” And with these planets, that makes total sense.
Cyrus’ Venus opposite Hurley’s Black Moon Lilith: Black Moon Lilith represents the “naughty” side of us, with Cyrus’ Venus opposite Hurley’s Lilith placement, this just tells us that he’s going to crack that more raunchy, sexy, and sultry side of her wide open.
Venus-Mars square: Hurley’s Venus (representing love relationships) makes a harsh connection to Cyrus’ Mars (representing attraction and sexual energy). Squares can feel unstable, but powerful. And in this case, these planets will provide bursts of energy and excitement with some slow lulls. Additionally, this can indicate powerful sexual attraction.
This Relationship Will Help Both of Them Heal
Anytime you go into healing in astrology, you’ll be talking about Chiron, the asteroid that represents childhood wounding and shame narratives. (Chiron is what I specialize in!) And we have a very important aspect here in both of their charts.
Venus-Chiron trine: This is interesting because both Cyrus’ and Hurley’s natal Venus placements make a trine to the other’s Chiron placements. So, Cyrus’ Venus is trine to Hurley’s Chiron and Hurley’s Venus is trine to Cyrus’ Chiron. Since Venus moves decently quickly and these two were born a few years apart, this is an unusual mirrored aspect that provides space for love to stem from vulnerability.
Venus represents the way we operate in relationships, and Chiron is about the sensitive part of us where we feel we aren’t good enough. In a positive aspect like this, the way each of them show up in relationships directly soothes that “not good enough” feeling within both of them. This can help foster confidence and a deep true love.
There’s a Feeling of Falling in Love and Detachment From Reality
Moon-Neptune conjunction: Hurley’s moon sign (representing inner emotions) makes an alignment with Cyrus’ Neptune placement (representing illusion and detachment). So, Hurley’s natural emotions really peak this sense of imagination, creativity, and even escapism for Cyrus. She may make him feel like he’s living in a dream.
There’s No Way It Will Feel Boring
In addition to the Venus-Mars square, we also have…
Pluto and Uranus in the 7th House: We only have the House systems for Cyrus. But we can see Hurley’s Pluto (representing dark transformation) and Uranus (representing rebellion and spontaneity) in Cyrus’ 7th House of marriage and long-term relationships. This could represent a more rocky relationship if there aren’t all these other supporting aspects around it. For them, I think it just means that Hurley keeps life interesting… the relationship itself will feel renewed and regenerated over and over.
