Alison Sweeney is married to David Sanov. They have quite the enduring love story! They started as friends after meeting through their parents as kids. They bonded over being violinists. “His dad and my mom play the violin for feature-film soundtracks, so we’ve actually known each other our whole lives,” the soap star told Access in 2019. “I totally had a crush on him when we were kids.” When you know, you know!
Sweeney and Sanov didn’t see each other for four years when Sweeney joined Days of Our Lives, while Sanov was at college. They crossed paths at a party, and then Sweeney invited him to her 21st birthday party. “We had such a great time, and we had so much fun getting to know each other again as grown-ups. And the rest is history,” the Hallmark star said on Live Your Days.
The couple married on July 8, 2000. They had been dating for three years when they said “I do.” They will celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary this year.

Sweeney and Sanov’s son currently attends Baylor University in Waco, Texas. Ahead of entering college, he planned to study mechanical engineering. Their daughter turned 16 in January 2025.
