Are ‘Storage Wars’ Stars Dan & Laura Dotson Still Together?

Dan Dotson and Laura Dotson have been staples on Storage Wars since Season 1. The auctioneers, who met in 1996 and wed in 2000, run their company, American Auctioneers, which Dan started in 1983.
The A&E show returned for Season 16 on June 7, which brought the Dotsons back to our television screens. But is their marriage still going strong? Scroll down for updates on their relationship.
Are Dan and Laura Dotson still together?
Yes, Dan and Laura are going strong. In fact, they recently told TV Insider that being on Storage Wars since 2010 has helped their marriage because it allows them to work together, as opposed to doing auctions separately throughout the day.
“We’re best friends,” Laura confirmed. “We like working together.” Dan added, “Before the show came along, we were each off driving 200 miles a day. Since 2010 and the show, we’ve gotten to spend all our time together. To some people, that might sound like torture, but it hasn’t been. It has been a blessing. We’re super happy to have that time together as friends and lovers.”
Do Dan and Laura Dotson have kids?
The Dotsons have one biological son named Garrett. In September 2020, when he was 22 years old, Garrett was shot in a drive-by shooting and was left with a fractured spine. Luckily, he made a recovery.

“Laura and I are so thankful God spared our son this day, 2 years ago,” Dan wrote on Facebook in September 2022. “The shooter was caught, found guilty and sentenced to 10.5 years.”
Dan also has two children from a previous relationship. Laura helped him raise the kids, who are kept out of the public eye, once the two got together.
What happened to Dan Dotson?
Dan and Laura have proven that they will stand by each other “in sickness and health” after he suffered a medical emergency in 2014. Dan was rushed to the hospital after a double brain aneurysm.
“He looks at me and his eyes are rolled back in his head and his legs are going out and the color immediately went from like, he was real red and purple to, like, a bluish-green,” Laura recalled, per CBS News.
While reflecting on the experience eight years later, Dan said, “Since I survived this double brain aneurysm in 2014, I don’t give a damn about anything. I mean I care about everything. But I don’t worry about anything because it’s going to work.”
