‘Love Is Blind’ Shocker! Lydia Arleen Reveals Milton Johnson Divorce & Addresses Cheating Claims
Love Is Blind Season 5 star Lydia Arleen has decided to call it quits with husband Milton Johnson. On June 11, Arleen shocked the Love Is Blind community with the news that she’s filed for divorce.
Arleen and Johnson met in the pods during the Netflix show’s fifth season. They married in 2022. In the months leading up to Arleen’s announcement, fans began speculating that Arleen and Johnson’s marriage wasn’t in a good place.
“I have decided that I [will] file divorce against Milton,” Arleen told A.D. Smith on the What’s the Reality? podcast. “It wasn’t one thing. It was a layer of situations and things that just kept piling up. When I ask him or tell him, ‘I’ll let you know when the divorce papers are ready,’ his response was, ‘I’m not gonna sign the papers unless there’s an NDA.’ And that said enough for me to know that I needed to share my truth and my experience because what I’ve been suffering in silence has been too much for me to be quiet and keep quiet.”
Their relationship has been “non-existent” since March 31. That’s when Arleen hit her breaking point. She addressed the cheating accusations against Johnson that have been swirling online.
“I have received, on five different occasions, messages from women allegedly saying he’s pursuing them at bars, paying for women’s drinks, heavily flirting,” Arleen claimed. She added that a former friend showed her pictures of Johnson in California with other women.
Johnson went to a university event and told Arleen that “no spouses were allowed.” He was going out every day while he was there, and a woman sent Arleen “evidence” that he had “been flirting with her all night, and he invited her over to the hotel.”
According to Arleen, Johnson has refused to own up to anything. Whenever they fought, he often turned the argument around on her. He accused Arleen of “nagging” him and said she “disrespected him” by wearing certain swimsuits.
The former couple’s seven-year age gap was a hot button topic during Season 5. Arleen said that she doesn’t believe age played a role in their divorce. It all came down to “emotional availability.”
Arleen confessed that she “never felt” her “marriage was a priority.” Since she asked for a divorce, Johnson has not spoken to her. “I don’t think he loves me,” Arleen confessed.
Back in February, Swooon spoke with Arleen and Johnson about their marriage. At the time, Johnson said his “biggest goal for 2025” was finishing up his MBA. “Apparently, going to sleep every night at 2 a.m. and waking up at 7 [a.m.] isn’t the most ideal for your health,” he said about juggling school, work, and his marriage. Lydia added, “We’re very excited for him to finish so we can go back to a little bit more of normalcy.”
