It’s been nearly five years since Dale Moss appeared on The Bachelorette and got engaged to Clare Crawley after less than two weeks of filming. Now, he’s making his Bachelor Nation return. Moss is a contestant on Season 10 of Bachelor in Paradise.

He and Crawley called it quits for good in September 2021 after an on-and-off relationship that lasted about a year. He then dated HGTV star Galey Alix for about two years before their 2024 breakup, leaving him single when it came time to head to Costa Rica for BiP.

Of his decision to give the dating franchise another shot, Moss told Us Weekly, “I wanted to give up control and just see what was out there. I’m really head down with travel and work and projects and things like that, but I definitely realized that there’s more out there and sometimes you have to remove yourself from certain situations to get more clarity on that.”

On Season 16 of The Bachelorette, Crawley professed her love to Moss after the second rose ceremony and told him that she only wanted to pursue a relationship with him moving forward. He reciprocated those feelings by proposing, and they left the show as an engaged couple.

This time, “it is definitely going to be a different approach,” Moss said. “And I think the framework in the setup of the show is a lot different.”

Bachelor in Paradise is also a very quick timeline to an engagement, but Moss isn’t totally against the idea of popping the question again. “Never say never because that happened before,” he teased. “But I’ve learned a lot on just how I approach relationships and you got to take your time to figure out what’s right.”

Meanwhile, Moss had “no preconceived notions” about the other women on the beach because he hasn’t been keeping up with the show in recent years. “I came into this just wanting to be open,” he admitted. “And it’s a big commitment for anyone. I’ve been pretty out of the loop in the franchise for a long time.”
