Jack Wagner, who starred in The Wedding March film series for Hallmark, made headlines last month when he took a real-life trip down the aisle with singer-songwriter Michelle Wolf.

The duo, who dated for four years, kept their relationship relatively quiet on social media, and their May 18 nuptials were equally intimate, Wagner reports. “We did it at the Bel-Air Country Club and kept it to about 40 people,” reveals the When Calls the Heart star. “That’s how I wanted to roll. I’m a super private person. I want it to be private amongst people that I love and care about, people from her world and from my world, and just to let that blend.”

Wagner’s son, Peter, and Wolf’s daughter, Ornella, took part in their special day, adding to the festive mood of the gathering. “Michelle got a DJ, and once a woman says, ‘Let’s dance,’ I mean, forget about it, it’s over,” muses Wagner. “It was just one big party, a fun celebration, and nobody was ready to leave. We had a window of four hours, and everyone’s still there at the end.”

He continues, “It was a day that doesn’t happen much for me. One of those once-in-a-lifetime things. I’m not out dancing and being crazy at my age very often. Like, never. And it was an opportunity for everyone to get their jig step going and have a lot of laughs.”

Though the ceremony didn’t take place in a church setting, the couple chose to have a priest officiate, adding a meaningful spiritual presence. “We wanted to honor that, and we wanted to be traditional, so we kept it as traditional as possible,” Wagner explains. “At the same time, having gospel and readings, etc., and also inviting everyone into that, no matter what their religious order is.”

The high-profile speakers at the reception added emotional depth to the day. “I had Lori Loughlin [who played Abigail Stanton on When Calls the Heart] speak, [sportscaster] Al Michaels spoke, Mardy Fish, the tennis player, and John Watkins, the guitar player that’s in Michelle’s band spoke, so we had people from both of our worlds speak.”

Loughlin’s remarks were particularly meaningful for Wagner. “Lori brought up my son, Harrison [whom Wagner had with ex-wife, Kristina Wagner, and died in June 2022], so he was with us, and we made sure that was part of the celebration as well,” Wagner reveals. “He was part of the celebration and will continue to be.”

Wagner and Wolf honeymooned in Italy, where the actor also filmed episodes for The Bold and the Beautiful as Nick Marone, the role he played from 2003-2012, and briefly in 2022. “What was great is I was able to tie in a honeymoon for the first six days and then just jump right into production and have Brad [Bell, B&B’s executive producer and head writer] pay for all the dinners [laughs],” he quips.
