Who Coupled Up During Casa Amor on ‘Love Island USA’ Season 7? All the Details

Love Island USA sure knows how to keep its contestants on their toes.

The first couple of weeks have been riveting television. From shocking eliminations to surprising recouplings to speculation about someone’s IUD falling out, the villa is always piping hot with the drama. While we were feeling well-fed after the latest episodes, we were still hungry for more — which is why we were so excited to see Casa Amor to kick off during Episode 19.

That’s right: the Season 7 Islanders are in Casa Amor-mode, experiencing the show’s signature twist in real time. Read on to get the full rundown on how the show is switching it up the rules this season, all the new cast members, and more.

What is Casa Amor?

If you’re tuning into Love Island USA for the first time this season, you may not know what Casa Amor is exactly. In that case, let us enlighten you: It’s a huge shakeup that usually occurs about halfway through the season. Akin to Temptation Island, the show splits up existing couples, moving one half of the Islanders to a second villa called — you guessed it — Casa Amor.

There, they find a slew of new singles, who test the original Islanders’ loyalty to their partners. One villa houses the OG men, who are introduced to six new women, and the reverse is true for the second villa.

Casa Amor has been happening since Season 2. It typically lasts for a few days and ends with a recoupling ceremony, which is when we find out how strong the Islanders’ relationships really are. (Spoiler alert: A fair amount of them don’t make it past Casa Amor.)

What’s the new Casa Amor twist?

Casa Amor is working a bit differently this year, with the show essentially hitting the rewind button. In Episode 19, host Ariana Madix explained that all of the original couples are broken up, so every boy and girl is single, just like they were at the start of the show. The newly single girls were told to choose a new bombshell to couple up with and vice versa for the boys. However, there weren’t enough bombshells to go around, leaving one boy and one girl single and at risk of elimination. They need to form a connection in 24 hours, or they’ll be vulnerable.

Oh, and unlike past seasons, all of the main and bombshell contestants will head back to the OG villa once Casa Amor is over, regardless of whether they make a lasting connection or not.

When are Love Island USA Season 7’s Casa Amor episodes?

During the June 21 Aftersun episode, Madix confirmed that Casa Amor would start on Monday, June 23, with the girls heading to the new villa.

As for how long Casa Amor will last? Well, it depends on how much drama goes down once the swap takes place probably. In Season 2, Casa Amor was only one episode long, but they upped the count to two in Season 3. When Love Island USA jumped from CBS to Peacock, Casa Amor was extended in Season 4 (Episode 19 through 22) and Season 5 (Episode 19 through 23). Last but not least, Season 6 saw Casa Amor run from Episodes 21 to 22.

When the Love Island USA producers decide they’ve gotten enough material, that’s probably when they’ll decide to call it and hold the recoupling ceremony. Anything can happen when it’s Casa Amor time, so brace yourselves now.

Who joined the cast during Casa Amor?

Five girls and six boys entered the Love Island dating pool. The girls tasked with tempting the main boys are Courtney “CoCo” Watson, Clarke Carraway, Gracyn Blackmore, Savanna “Vanna” Einerson, and Jaden Duggar. The new guys are Chris Seeley, JD Dodard, Elan Bibas, Zak Srakaew, Bryan Arenales, and Zac Woodworth. (Yes, there are two boys with the same name, which is bound to get confusing.)
