Meet ‘100 Day Dream Home’ Stars Brian & Mika Kleinschmidt: All About Their Marriage & More
Brian Kleinschmidt and Mika Kleinschmidt are HGTV staples, thanks to their beloved renovation show 100 Day Dream Home, which features them building homes from the ground up in 100 days or less. They’ve also appeared on Rock the Block and Barbie Dreamhouse Challenge.
The Kleinschmidts have known each other long before they got together romantically, but when they reconnected it was almost serendipitous: He had a background in building, while she was an expert in real estate. They are truly the perfect pair!

How did Brian and Mika Kleinschmidt meet?
Brian and Mika met in high school chorus. He had a crush on her but was too shy to ask her out, and when he had his friend ask her to the homecoming dance for him, she turned him down. Ten years later, they reconnected in Tampa and their romance (and business) began.
During the years in between, Brian began flipping homes following years of experience working with Habitat for Humanity. The 2008 housing crash left him in a bind, though, which is when he began opening fitness clubs in Tampa.

Meanwhile, Mika spent 10 years helping clients achieve personal goals in the fitness industry. When she realized she wanted a new challenge, though, she entered the real estate space. The couple then started their company, Dirt 2 Design, where they “assist clients with everything from rehabs to new construction.”
How did Brian and Mika Kleinschmidt reconnect?
“As fate would have it, she accidentally sent me one of those chain emails, and of course, I responded immediately,” Brian told Tampa Bay Parenting in 2024.
Mika added, “He responded and he was like, ‘Hey, if this was an accident, that’s okay. But how the heck have you been doing?’”
This happened in 2011, and the two went on to tie the knot in 2015.
Do Brian and Mika Kleinschmidt have kids?
While the couple does not have any children together, Mika is mom to a daughter, Jade, from a previous relationship. Jade was just 18 months old when her mom and Brian got together.
“It was crucial that I find someone that is going to accept not only me but my daughter and put her first, and Brian has done that since day one,” Mika gushed.
Who is Brian Kleinschmidt’s ex-wife?
Brian was previously married to Miss America 2004 Ericka Dunlap. They wed in 2004 and divorced in 2011, shortly before he reconnected with Mika.
In 2009, Brian and Ericka competed on Season 15 of The Amazing Race and finished in third place.
