‘Scandal’: Who Was Olivia Pope’s Best Love Interest? (POLL)

Olivia Pope (Kerry Washington) had three main love interests over the course of Scandal: Fitzgerald “Fitz” Grant (Tony Goldwyn), Jake Ballard (Scott Foley), and Edison Davis (Norm Lewis).
The show ended without a totally clear-cut answer about Olivia’s romantic future. The ending insinuated that she and Fitz ended up together, but it certainly wasn’t a “ride off into the sunset” moment. After Olivia’s father (Joe Morton) set up Jake to take the fall as the head of B613, Olivia was a free woman, and as she walked away from Washington D.C., Fitz pulled up in a car next to her.
The final words of the finale were the longtime on-again, off-again lovers saying “hi” to one another, but their future is unclear. Meanwhile, Jake ended the show behind bars, and Edison’s last appearance on the show was in Season 5 (there were seven seasons total).
None of Olivia’s romances were easy. When she was with Jake and Edison, the relationships were clouded by her love for Fitz. But being with Fitz was the most difficult of all. After all, he was married and the President of the United States. Their steamy relationship was clandestine, scandalous, and, well… very messy. But there was absolutely no denying their chemistry.
Scandal is now streaming on Netflix, which has renewed interest in the show and Olivia’s love life. Avid fans of the series have long fought for Team Jake or Team Fitz (we know Edison is a bit of a dark horse, but he’s gotta have some fans out there). So, we have to know: Who do you think Olivia belonged with?
