New ‘Survivor’ Couple! Season 45 Stars Reveal They’re Dating

From Fiji to forever! There’s a new Survivor couple to celebrate.
On June 22, two Season 45 castaways confirmed their romance. With this new relationship, the former cast members have also made Survivor history.
Katurah Topps and Sabiyah Broderick have gone Instagram official! The couple revealed their relationship to the world with a romantic joint post and pictures.
“On Survivor, we both struggled with fire,” the caption began. “I couldn’t make it and she went a week without it. But what we’ve built together? That’s a fire that finally lit itself! From Players to Partners, from Castmates to Co-dreamers… Meet Survivor’s FIRST Black Queer Woman Couple.”
Even though they were both competing on Survivor Season 45, Topps and Broderick didn’t get to know each other on the Fiji set. They were in different tribes, and Broderick was eliminated seven days into the competition. Topps was eliminated on Day 25.

Their love story started after filming. “Our first meeting was on a trip to Cape Cod with our cast after filming…before our season aired,” Topps told Out. “We’d talked on the phone for a bit [prior to the trip], but this was the first time we saw each other in person and the true beginning of our friendship.”
Around August 2024, Topps and Broderick realized their friendship was turning into something more. “We decided to explore it casually. But, by January of this year, we knew we needed to make it official,” Topps revealed.
Broderick asked Topps to be her girlfriend on January 20, which Topps said was “a day when we definitely needed more joy in the world,” referring to Donald Trump‘s inauguration.
Their six-month anniversary and Pride Month made this the right time for Survivor’s first Black queer female couple to go public with their romance. “After making sure our foundation was solid, we’re finally ready to share this love with the world,” Topps gushed.
