Who Is ‘American Idol’ Winner Laine Hardy’s Wife? Meet Jordan Gautreau
American Idol winner Laine Hardy is a married man. Six years after he won Season 19 of the show, the country music artist tied the knot with Jordan Gautreau on June 20.
“Officially introducing Mr. And Mrs. Hardy 💒 06/20/25,” Hardy captioned a series of photos from the pair’s outdoor wedding. The nuptials came about three years after the couple first connected. Scroll down to learn more about Gautreau and her relationship with Hardy.
What does Laine Hardy’s wife do for a living?
Gautreau is a former professional dancer for the New Orleans Pelicans and New Orleans Saints. After dancing in college, she tried out for the Pelicans’ dance squad, but her season with the team got cut short due to COVID-19 in 2020.
After taking a break from professional dancing for a bit, she decided to give the NFL a try. She auditioned for the New Orleans Saints in 2024 and was able to dance with the team for “about half” of the season before a major life change forced her to end her dance career for now (more on that big life change below).

How did Laine Hardy meet his wife?
Hardy and Gautreau lived a town over from each other in Louisiana, but they didn’t cross paths until 2022. She had heard of him because his American Idol win was a “big deal” in their area, and her grandmother was a “huge fan” of his.
Since one of Gautreau’s cousins played in Hardy’s band, she asked him if he thought Hardy would record a video for her grandmother’s birthday, and the country singer obliged. Gautreau then wanted to take things a step further by seeing if Hardy would meet her grandmother in person. This time, she messaged him directly on Instagram.
After he responded, Gautreau gave him her phone number to plan the meeting. “Him and I just kind of got to chit-chatting,” she said. At the time, Hardy was in Nashville writing a song, but the two got to know each other through texting and hung out for the first time a few weeks later.
Do Laine Hardy and Jordan Gautreau have kids?
Yes, they have one son named Hollis. In fact, Gautreau’s pregnancy in 2024 is the reason that she had to end her NFL dancing career in the middle of the season.
Hollis was born in February 2025. “Welcome to the world Hollis James Hardy!” the couple wrote in a joint Instagram post. “We are over the moon about this little boy 🩵 An absolute gift from God. Let the adventure begin!”

The couple announced both their pregnancy news and engagement in September 2024. “The secret is out…. I’m having his babyyyy🤭” Gautreau wrote on Instagram. “We are so excited for this chapter of our lives. Looking forward to God’s plan for us. The biggest surprise and the easiest YES! Can’t wait for our new title as parents and to plan a wedding.”
After welcoming Hollis, Hardy and Gautreau’s priority was raising their baby, and they admitted on the Wedding Reporter podcast in December 2024 that they weren’t planning on walking down the aisle until spring 2026. They ended up doing so an entire year earlier, though!
