Caught in a Love Triangle? Meet Pilar Dizon From ‘The Ultimatum: Queer Love’ Season 2

If you’ve been waiting for Netflix to come out with another season of The Ultimatum: Queer Love for what feels like an eternity, you’re in luck! While Pride Month 2025 may be coming to a close, Netflix’s first queer dating show has finally returned for Season 2.
On June 25, Netflix dropped the first seven episodes of their ultimate LGBTQIA+ reality dating show’s second season. Featuring six couples in which one partner wants to get married and the other doesn’t feel the same way, The Ultimatum: Queer Love sets out to teach both partners what marriage would look like with a different person before returning them to their original pairing.
This season, “The Choice” got particularly spicy when two pre-show partners, Bridget Matloff and Kyle Neal, both wanted Pilar Dizon as their trial wife. At the heart of one of the most shocking love triangles in Ultimatum history, Pilar was forced to choose whether she wanted to couple up with the Ultimatum Giver or the Ultimatum Receiver of a previously happy couple.

What does Pilar Dizon do for a living?
Pilar is a 29-year-old orthopedic physical therapist in Palo Alto, California, with a degree from the University of California, San Francisco, Graduate Program in Physical Therapy. Outside of physical therapy, Pilar is a DJ and producer, going by the stage name Dr. D, which plays on her formal title, Dr. Dizon, DPT.
According to her Spotify artist’s page, she is “a classically trained musician who has honed their craft through her early years of dedication to drum-line, jazz band, and symphonic orchestra.” As a DJ, she has “seamlessly” transitioned into electronic music. Coinciding with the premiere of The Ultimatum: Queer Love Season 2, Pilar released her first 2025 single, “Bad Gyal Flex.”
Where is Pilar Dizon from?
Pilar lives in San Francisco, California. Since The Ultimatum: Queer Love films in Miami, Pilar joked that she had a lot of explaining to do when she (seemingly spontaneously) left the Bay Area. Leading up to the Season 2 premiere, Pilar posted on Instagram: “Explaining to my friends the real reason I spent three months in Miami…. I can’t believe it’s here! June 25th if you see me no you didn’t!!!!”

Who was Pilar Dizon’s original partner on The Ultimatum: Queer Love?
Pilar received an ultimatum from her girlfriend of 10 years, Haley Drexler. According to Netflix, “Haley first got to know Pilar when they were both orientation leaders after their freshman year in college, and they’ve been ‘inseparable’ ever since.” While Pilar is wary about the idea of marrying Haley without her family, who “openly disapprove of her queer identity and relationship,” Haley wants to take that next step. As Haley puts it, “We have always been firmly planted next to one another, and I want an even deeper commitment.”
Who is Pilar Dizon’s trial marriage partner?
Pilar’s trial marriage partner is Kyle Neal, a 30-year-old graphic designer. Pilar was attracted to both Kyle and their partner, Bridget Matloff. Pilar and Bridget connected because they were incredibly similar, and both received an ultimatum from their partner. Ultimately, Pilar went for an opposites attract-style trial marriage with Kyle.
