Are ‘Married to Real Estate’ Stars Egypt Sherrod & Mike Jackson Still Together?
HGTV fans were shocked when Egypt Sherrod announced that her and husband Mike Jackson‘s show Married to Real Estate had been canceled after four seasons. In a social media statement, Sherrod called the news “unexpected” and said she found out after returning from vacation.
“While the chain of events leading up to this is disheartening, we are deeply grateful,” she added. “Grateful for four incredible seasons. Grateful for our amazing crews and supportive fans. Grateful that our businesses continue to thrive.”
The cancellation has fans wondering about the state of Sherrod and Jackson’s marriage. The two tied the knot in 2010 after six years of dating. Are Egypt Sherrod and Mike Jackson still together?
Yes, Sherrod and Jackson are still together after 15 years of marriage. Sherrod made this point clear to fans in her statement about Married to Real Estate’s cancellation.
Her message continued, “And most of all — grateful that we are still very much married to real estate (and to each other).”
One of the secrets to Sherrod and Jackson’s marriage? Separate bedrooms! They revealed in a 2025 interview with Us Weekly why they like to have their own space at home. “He can go to sleep when he wants, snore as loud as he wants, play whatever he wants on TV,” Sherrod explained. “And I can have my candles and my Solfeggio frequencies playing all night. I can sleep with the fan on without complaint. We love [doing] that and then coming [back] together with a little rat-a-tat-tat.”
How many kids do Egypt Sherrod and Mike Jackson have?
The couple have two children together, daughters Kendall, born 2012, and Harper, born 2019, as well as Jackson’s daughter, Simone, born in 2002, from a previous relationship.
Ahead of the Season 4 premiere of Married to Real Estate, Sherrod told TV Insider that Kendall was taking an interest in modeling. “She decided she wants to model now. Oh my goodness. What does that look like?” the HGTV star shared. “We helped her launch her little modeling career. It’s this thing families in general go through. I think everyone will see themselves through us.”

As for the youngest child, Harper, Sherrod said she went through “so many benchmarks” while the family was filming Season 4, which premiered in March.
In 2023, Harper had adenoid removal surgery after her parents realized she was having trouble breathing at night. The little one was just four years old at the time.
How old was Egypt Sherrod when she had Harper?
Sherrod was 42 years old when she gave birth to Harper in 2019. She considers Harper to be her “miracle baby,” as she spent five years trying to conceive before her third child was born.
Before conceiving Harper, Sherrod was scheduled to have a partial hysterectomy in December 2018, but she ended up finding out she was pregnant about six months prior.
Following Harper’s birth, Sherrod dealt with scary complications. “I was checked out of the hospital two days after giving birth, and when I got back home and laid down to go to sleep, it felt like I was drowning,” she told Essence. “I couldn’t breathe. My husband rushed me back to the hospital, and it turned out that I had ‘fluid overload’ from the c-section and was drowning from the fluid in my lungs.”
