‘Love Island USA’: Are Nic & Olandria Coming Back? An Investigation Into That Cliffhanger

Last night’s Love Island USA episode ended on the cliffhanger of all cliffhangers.
Just as the show brought back its infamous Casa Amor twist in Episode 19, viewers learned that there would be another shake-up on top of that. Instead of having the Season 7 Islanders recouple at the end of the Casa Amor episodes, they had them pair up with Bombshells at the start. However, there weren’t enough new contestants for everyone. Two main Islanders were left single and vulnerable: Amaya and TJ. They had a 24-hour deadline to make a new connection.
In the end, they succeeded and saved themselves. Olandria and Nic weren’t so lucky, with their new partners leaving them in the dust. After a tearful goodbye to their fellow Islanders, they packed up their things, assuming their Love Island USA journey was over. The final scene of the episode, however, suggests otherwise.
Are Nic and Olandria coming back? Let’s break down all the evidence.
First, that dramatic cliffhanger. Let us set the scene: A forlorn-looking Nic hauled his suitcase toward the villa’s exit. Then, a Jeep rolled into the driveway. Its license plate spelled out “LOVE” in pink letters. When the door opened, a smiling Olandria was in the back seat, having returned from Casa Amor. “Quick, hurry up,” she yelled to Nic. “Get in!” Nic stopped in his tracks and yelled a few shocked expletives. “What are you doing here?” he asked as they sped away.
That moment alone suggests that Episode 20 isn’t the last we’ll see of the fan-favorite duo, but there’s even more that points toward Nic and Olandria’s return. When host Ariana Madix explained the aforementioned Casa Amor twist, she said all of the Islanders would return to the original villa. “Everyone will be returning this year,” she told the OG guys. “There will be some very big decisions to make for all of you.”
Key words there? “Everyone” and “all.” She’s clearly referring to the Bombshells, but what if it has a double meaning? She could mean every single contestant will see Casa Amor through to the end — including Nic and Olandria.
What’s more, Nic and Olandria’s texts weren’t phrased like a typical dumping message. Usually, they tell the eliminated Islanders that they’ve been dumped from the villa. Theirs, however, said, “You have 30 minutes to pack your bags and say your goodbyes.” That doesn’t sound quite so final.
So, what does it all mean? Will the duo return at the end of the Casa Amor? Is there a chance that they might even be going to another villa? Comment your predictions below!
