‘When Calls the Heart’: Will Elizabeth & Nathan Get Engaged in Season 13? (POLL)
When Calls the Heart Season 13 is still a ways off, but the cast has returned to Vancouver to start filming the highly anticipated Hallmark series. The upcoming season makes When Calls the Heart the longest-running original series on Hallmark. That and Erin Krakow and Ben Rosenbaum‘s recent wedding are a cause for celebration!
Viewers have loved returning to Hope Valley every year since the show’s debut in 2014. Elizabeth (Krakow) has built an incredible life in the small Canadian town, cultivating a community that feels like family. She’s also found love. First with Jack (Daniel Lissing), and then with Lucas (Chris McNally) after Jack’s untimely death in Season 5.
After her breakup with Lucas, Elizabeth’s love story with Mountie Nathan (Kevin McGarry) took center stage. After such a slow burn, it was finally the right time for Nathan and Elizabeth to get together at the end of Season 11.
Their romance blossomed even more in Season 12, with their relationship growing stronger by the day. At the end of the season, Nathan and Allie (Jaeda Lily Miller) joined Elizabeth and Little Jack (Hyland Goodrich) on their journey to Cape Fullerton, so Little Jack could receive the care he needed for his diabetes.
Given how solid Nathan and Elizabeth are and how they’ve seamlessly blended their families, could wedding bells be on the horizon? Could Nathan pop the question to Elizabeth in Season 13? An engagement is certainly a possibility.
If Elizabeth and Nathan do get engaged in Season 13, this would mark Elizabeth’s second marriage. She married Jack in Season 5, and Krakow revealed to Swooon that she got Elizabeth’s wedding dress from the Kleinfeld sample sale room. “I lugged this dress back to Vancouver, and Barbara, our incredible costume designer, she tweaked it and adjusted things to make it more period accurate and appropriate for our show,” the actress said in a previous interview.
Who knows what the writers are cooking up, but Elizabeth and Nathan fans would surely be delighted to see these two take the next step toward their happily ever after. Who wouldn’t want to see another When Calls the Heart wedding? Wherever the When Calls the Heart team decides to Elizabeth and Nathan next, we’ll be along for the ride.
