We’re officially less than a week away from Season 10 of Bachelor in Paradise, and the show is certainly going to look quite different this time around. After a two-year hiatus, the series is relocating from Mexico to Costa Rica, but according to host Jesse Palmer, location isn’t the only change viewers can expect.

Of course, there’s the addition of the Golden cast members, as well as Hannah Brown‘s new role as “paradise relations,” but in an exclusive interview with Swooon, Palmer hints that we can expect even more new elements.

“I think the show is going to look a lot more fresh,” Palmer confirms. “It’s going to look a lot different. It’s going to look new in a lot of ways, which I think fans are going to recognize from the very first arrival in Paradise.”

He also teases “twists and turns along the way,” as well as “a lot of changes” that he says he’s excited for people to see. Still, Palmer promises “a lot of the old elements of Paradise that everybody knows and loves,” as well.

As for the new location, Palmer says the resort is “absolutely magical.” He adds, “Not only did you have the beach element being right there on the ocean, you also had the jungle, which I think would serve as a great backdrop for story. It’s sexy, it’s mysterious, it’s dangerous. It played into a lot of different dates and a lot of different things that we were able to do throughout the course of the season, as well.”

Plus, he notes that the cast’s “day-to-day” experience was improved because of the new location. “Now they’re staying in air conditioned rooms, and they had pools outside of their sliding doors, and they could swim up to the bar,” he shares, adding that “there’s a bit of a White Lotus vibe to it” with a changing location.

“I’d be curious to know, I don’t want to put the cart before the horse, but I’d be curious to know now, moving forward, if this is something that we would consider doing again every year, doing it in a new place,” Palmer wonders. “I think that’d be pretty cool.”
