McKenzie Westmore is still upset over Sheridan and Luis (Galen Gering), one of Passions fan favorite couples, not being endgame. The soap ran on NBC (and briefly on DirecTV’s The 101 Network) from 1999 to 2008. In a surprising twist — and Passions certainly had those — Sheridan and Luis didn’t end up together.

Twenty-six years after the premiere of Passions (the show premiered on July 5, 1999), Westmore hasn’t forgotten about Shuis. In fact, she’s manifesting an onscreen reunion with Gering.

“What I would personally love to see, because Passions didn’t end well for the fans, I would love to see Luis and Sheridan come back in some sort of way so we have a little Shuis connection,” Westmore told Swooon. “Obviously, it’s different characters, but I would love to give back to the fans and have a Sheridan-Luis reunion.”

When Passions wrapped up, Sheridan was with Antonio (Christopher Douglas) and not Luis. As for Luis, he ended the series with Fancy (Emily Harper), who happened to be Sheridan’s cousin. Westmore admitted she was “angry” that Sheridan and Luis didn’t get the chance to reunite.

“I was upset because I watched the show,” the Westmore Beauty founder said. “I was a fan of Passions, and not just because of me being on it. I watched it. I remember watching with my parents, and I started when I was 19, so I got invested, and I was angry. I’m like, you’re putting her with Antonio? Like, that’s out of left field. Come on, guys. Do better.”

At the time, the Passions creative team “just needed to end the show,” so there wasn’t time to tie every character’s arc into a neat bow. Nevertheless, Westmore remains hopeful that she and Gering have a Passions reunion in the future. “I really have this dream of bringing Galen and me back into something, to be able to give back to the fans,” she told Swooon.
