Does ‘Bachelor in Paradise’ Have a Cash Prize?! Jesse Palmer Reacts to Season 10 Trailer
Bachelor in Paradise, you have some explaining to do! At the end of the Season 10 premiere on July 7, ABC aired a jaw-dropping trailer for the episodes ahead.
In the midst of all the relationship drama and the arrival of the Goldens, another aspect of the trailer (watch above) caught our eye: the big bag of money. Host Jesse Palmer says, “Half a million dollars, or is it love?”
Excuse us, Bachelor Nation? Is Bachelor in Paradise incorporating a cash prize for its milestone tenth season? Swooon went straight to the source to try and get answers.
Palmer joked that bartender Wells Adams “always brings half a million to Paradise because he says he doesn’t know if Costa Rica takes Amex.” However, he did add this morsel of scoop about a potential cash prize: “Again, there’s lots of new stuff, lots of twists and turns. I’m excited for people to find out more.”

The Season 10 premiere didn’t reference a cash prize, but Palmer previously teased in an interview with Swooon that there will be “a lot of changes” in the new season. He did make sure to add that there will be “a lot of the old elements of Paradise that everybody knows and loves” as well.
If there is a Bachelor in Paradise Season 10 cash prize, it would be a first for the ABC reality dating series. In previous seasons, the most expensive thing a contestant could walk away with was an engagement ring. Granted, we don’t have all the information yet, so anything is possible when it comes to that huge bag of cash.
Speaking of engagement rings, there could be a few that pop up this season. Palmer revealed to Swooon that there “could be multiple” marriages that come out of Season 10.
