‘General Hospital’ Star Laura Wright Shares Rare Look at Her Romance With Boyfriend Wes Ramsey
Laura Wright has much to celebrate right now. The General Hospital actress scored yet another Daytime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Lead Performance in a Daytime Drama Series: Actress. She capped off nomination day by sharing a glimpse of her night out with her boyfriend, former GH costar Wes Ramsey.
On July 9, Wright shared two photos from her recent outing with Ramsey. Wright looked gorgeous in a strapless red dress as she posed next to her love, who was wearing a navy suit. “This dress is everything!!! He’s pretty cute too 😍,” Wright captioned the photos.
Wright also included an adorable photo of her and Ramsey from their hotel room. The GH star made a funny face as she took a selfie with Ramsey smiling in the background.
Wright and Ramsey have the sweetest love story but prefer to keep their romance out of the public eye for the most part. They first met on the set of Guiding Light over 20 years ago, but they didn’t start dating until 2017. Ramsey joined GH that year as Peter August.

After they reconnected, Ramsey admitted to having had a crush on Wright for years. (Wright was previously married to John Wright from 1995 to 2016.)
“I let her know that this was something that was always there for me,” the actor told Soap Opera Digest in 2018. “If someone had whispered in my ear [that they would eventually begin a romance], after I did cartwheels, I probably would have said, ‘The sooner the better!’ But we both had time to grow and become who we’re meant to be so that we can be our best selves for each other, and we just feel so happy that we found each other at this time in our lives.”
The soap couple recently celebrated their eight-year anniversary in April. When the Daytime Emmys roll around in October, you know Ramsey will be on Wright’s arm supporting her on her big night.
