Maggie (Morgan Kohan) and Cal (Chad Michael Murray) are turning up the heat, but the reappearance of her ex-husband, Liam (Marcus Rosner), could derail their relationship. In the final moments of the Season 4 trailer, Maggie and Liam look like they’re just about to kiss during a tear-filled moment.

In Season 4, Maggie’s life at the Crossing is finally taking shape, having decided on a new direction for her career and a renewed commitment to Cal. However, Maggie’s ex-husband, Liam, arrives with a shocking revelation, which only upends Maggie’s life once again and causes Cal to question whether Maggie will ever truly be able to leave her past behind.

Sullivan’s Crossing will return for Season 4 on April 20, 2026. In July 2025, The CW Network announced the Season 4 renewal. The fourth season will consist of 10 episodes and will air in Canada before it premieres in the U.S.

Before the official announcement, Sullivan’s Crossing author Robyn Carr confirmed Season 4. “Sullivan’s Crossing has been renewed for a 4th season!” she wrote on her Facebook page on June 5.

Sullivan’s Crossing and Virgin River are connected in the sense that both book series were written by the same author, Robyn Carr. However, their universes aren’t connected on the page or the screen.

Could this be the end for Maggie and Cal? “I mean, there’s gonna have to be a few conversations had. It’s going to be a trust thing to have to build up again because that is a pretty big thing to leave out,” Kohan told Swooon.

As for Maggie’s decision about her future in the Crossing, Kohan said it was a “huge weight to be lifted off of her after being in this limbo for so long. Once you have a plan, once you have a sort of purpose, knowing what’s going to happen moving forward…I think it must be a huge relief for her.”

Who is Marcus Rosner?

Rosner joined Sullivan’s Crossing at the end of Season 3. Given his debut, Liam will have a bigger presence in Season 4. For those who love Hallmark, Rosner is a familiar face. The actor has starred in a plethora of Hallmark movies, including Falling Like Snowflakes, An Ice Palace Romance, Christmas in Maple Hills, and more. He also played Charles Kensington in the long-running Hallmark series When Calls the Heart.
