‘Outlander’ Stars Reunite at Richard Rankin’s Wedding — See the Cast Celebrate (PHOTOS)
Outlander‘s eighth and final season may not arrive for quite some time, but the cast who have already wrapped filming are keeping close as they reunited for Richard Rankin‘s wedding to Sammie Russell.
The nuptials brought together several of the stars, including leading onscreen couple Caitriona Balfe and Sam Heughan, who were also joined at the event by Lauren Lyle, John Bell, Joey Phillips, Izzy Meikle-Small, Caitlin O’Ryan, and Paul Gorman, as well as Blood of My Blood actor Jamie Roy. It seems that Rankin’s onscreen wife, Brianna, costar Sophie Skelton, wasn’t in attendance, unless she missed the group photos.
Rankin, as fans know, plays Roger, the historian son-in-law of Claire (Balfe) and Jamie Fraser (Heughan), in the time-traversing romantic fantasy series based on Diana Gabaldon‘s books. Lyle portrays Marsali Fraser, the wife of Jamie and Claire’s adoptive son, Fergus (César Domboy), while Bell portrays their nephew, Ian. Meikle-Small joined the series in Season 7 as Rachel Hunter, the sister of Phillips’ doctor Denzell Hunter. Meanwhile, Gorman portrays Beardsley twins, Josiah and Kezzie, who are in a throuple with O’Ryan’s Lizzie.

Roy is set to appear as Brian Fraser, father of Jamie, in Starz’s quickly approaching prequel series, Outlander: Blood of My Blood, and based on the pictures and videos being shared by the crew, the celebration for Rankin and Russell was spectacular. While some shared videos on Instagram Stories, the biggest collection of reuniting stars captured on camera was posted to Lyle’s Instagram Story, and it included Phillips, Bell, Heughan, Balfe, Rankin, Lyle, O’Ryan, and Meikle-Small.

As mentioned above, Rankin’s costar Skelton was missing from the crowd, but it seems she’s currently in production with the I Can Only Imagine sequel, costarring Milo Ventimiglia and more.
